Well this is how the last few worked out. The same gaming press say the king is back. I play the demo and think it's terrible. Konami say the demo is different to the final game. I be a sucker and buy it, same rubbish as demo. Seabass comes out and says next years version will be the true next gen PES.
If you want the complete package then Fifa is the game. Decent footie game and a better online. Konani still can't get 1vs1 right and PES has been online since PES 4 on the xbox.

True, but what's wrong in hoping the next will be good? Not impossible. People who are not IGN, Eurogamer etc have played it and are full of praise for it even at this early stage.
If FIFA is your complete package, then fine. Don't be saying it's the only real option without having played PES 2011. This is a PES2011 discussion in here and as usual it is slowly coming to a "FIFA is better" discussion. Let's not pull our scrotes over our eyes.

Even if the game has great gameplay, the fact is Konami make a mess when it comes online. They are very slow with patches and haven't really fixed the lag problem online. PES has been online since 4 and I've played all of them online. All of them have been a mess online from pause freezing, lag and Super Adriano who can score from anywhere. They can't get 1vs1 right yet, where as EA are planning 11vs11 for this year. Konamis attitude to these online problems have been terrible. Has anyone played PES 2010? I played it and the game was a mess. Goals given against me when they haven't crossed the line. Goalkeepers onine dropping everything. It's badly coded.

Prototype was spot on.
So what if I'm willing to see what they have in store with the next PES? You have clearly stated you only have eyes for FIFA now and I respect that. Just wish you'd except that some people have high hopes for PES 2011.

Early previews sound good but like many I am still cautious but will once again check it out alongside FIFA.
The last few entries of PES havent washed with me (going back to PES6 really) but this seems like the biggest revision so far so hopefully a wiping of the slate and back to basics. It always has the promise of being great so I would never write it off completely.
FIFA is also looking pretty tasty. I've enjoyed the recent world cup rendition after it got discounted to bargain basement prices lately and whilst it aint perfect either both camps seem to be heading in the right direction.
Whats better than one great football game?

My main point was dealing with your insinuation of me turning a blind eye. Wasn't appreciated. Let's pull in the right direction and hope Konami can bring out a winner we've long deserved.
