Really enjoying this now. It's the same old GTA, but the world they have created is simply breathtaking....It's beautiful and huge, brimming with life and things to do.

Decided I want this now...tried 3 shops and couldn't find a playstation copy! First time ever I haven't been able to buy a game!
Though they did have xbox copies around.

You weren't kidding ! Even on SSD it is a loooooong install! Mind you the rage engine(red dead) was improved with SSD, so I still reckon psn to SSD is the best way to try these new games. Last of us being another example. But hey, that's just my choice.

I saw this on twitter adding some perspective - "Grand Theft Auto V in its 1st day of UK sales generated 2.4x the revenue of last week's entire print books trade (?65m v ?26.2m)"

How big is GTA in Japan?

I know V isn't out there yet but in general.

Its fairly big, I think 200k ish debut numbers. Capcom publishes it.

Its ofcourse nothing compared to other markets but for a console game in Japan coming from the west its a success, probably making top 20 at the end of the year.

GTAIV is the only game that I've ever seen being sold as an import in Japan (it came out overseas long before it came out here)

I got the PS3 vers. but a mate at work just got it on 360, just told him to only install disc 1 - is that right?

Yup that's right.

Don't know you know, I had severe problems playing from the disc. Bad framerate, pop up, slow loading textures.

Fixed by installing the 2nd disc to an external USB drive.

This isn't clicking with me at all. Everything I hated about IV is still here in this game. Has nobody at Rockstar ever driven a car before?!
