What has Peter got to do with this? Why drag him in? Why drag ME in by saying 'well its all YOUR bosses fault', like I've ever had anything to do with what he does.

It's the way so many people on this forum seem to think I'm some kind of industry spokesman that they can have a go at, it's starting to really wind me up. You're like the fourth person on here this month to do it, and I'm tired of it.

I'm out. I don't think any of you actually want me here anyway so I doubt you'll miss me.

I think people would take the ME series more seriously than Saw. Imagine if at the end of watching a movie trilogy that had a mass following (not a cult following, like with Saw) only to find out you had to pay for a one off pay per view special to see the final ending.

The news of this ending has made me glad I'd never bothered with the series to begin with.

The American legal system really is a ****ing joke if this is the sort of BS that someone can file a suit over!

        Jesus Wept indeed!

If a new, more conclusive ending was added to premium DLC there might be a case in this, but after all the hoo ha that's been kicked up, I don't see it being anything but free.

Utterly ridiculous. If you feel that strongly about something it's pretty easy to just not buy that dev's games anymore. I mean, by all means discuss the fact you didn't like it on a forum to get it out your system.

Being Bioware I do wonder if they had plans for better-ending DLC. I mean, I don't know quite to what depths they will sink to in trying to sell their DLC. So far they've gone further than anyone else IMO. This would be a new low though lol.

Disclaimer: I haven't played the Mass Effect games.

I wouldnt call the Saw films cult, I dont really like them but they do have a pretty big following. but regardless it shouldnt matter how popular the franchise is, at the end of the day the makers are still saying one thing and ultimatley not delivering on it.

In situations like this people will often say Oh no now I have to go "see another film" or Now I have to "buy another game", but at the end of the day surely youd rather pay to go and see a new film in a franchise you love or a new game in a series you have been following from the start than somthing new that turns out to be complete rubbish and you dont enjoy it.

Films and games are an entertainment medium, if they entertain then they have done their job, and if they have entertained you then in many cases (though not always obviously) you will want more. Games can get away with this even more easily than films. Many great films simply wouldnt work if they were to make a sequel, becuase at the end of the day a film is purely a story. With games the most focus is (usually) on the gameplay, so its alot easier to make more of that.

As for the Mass Effect ending, I dont even think its that people have been lied too (if they even have been lied too) thats annoying them. Its the fact that they dont like the ending. Personally i thought it was a good ending and belive that the outcry against it has actually proven that many fans seem to have failed to grasp what the series has actually been about. But thats just my take on it.

it's right you feel this way. so what of the millions of gamers that invested like 90 hours by the time the credits roll? i really hope Bioware doesn't get away with this and we gamers get an ending that honours our investment in the series.

Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?

Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.

I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.

Daisy, Daisy, give me your aaaaansssssweeeeer doooooooooo.

I was trying to post from my phone but it was hanging repeatedly. I cracked up when I came here and found repeated posts.

I dunno, maybe you should feel pissed off and complain? I feel short-changed by Capcom's DLC model for SFxT after the amount of stuff they have already on the disc, so I won't be buying any more of their games until things have changed - a very easy feat for me considering Diablo 3 is around the corner, which is pretty much guaranteed to keep me entertained for a few years.

Weird, man... I was thinking about this movie when I was reading this thread earlier today. I remember borrowing Odyssey from a mate once who'd pumped me up about it and I'd always been interested in knowing the story. Although, after I'd finished watching it my mind was broken. I just didn't get it, and if anyone wants to explain it to me then go ahead...

Stanley Kubrick was a c**t, and so was Arther C. Clarke. Reckners.

Don't want to go too off-topic, but at key points in Man's lifetime, a mysterious monolith appears and pushes him onto the next level of evolution:
                              Monkeys learn to use tools
Man finds a way to travel vast distances
                              Man becomes giant space baby
Man learns how to file lawsuits

The fact you haven't included women in that QC is a lawsuit in itself in the US.
