Nintendo Wii U (Thread 2!)

I'm the biggest Nintendo fan, I could never understand when people moaned about the small software catalogue on the N64 and GC, I would always take 15 great titles over 150 better than average ones.

Was the Wii any different?

Twighlight Princess (actually, bought that and hate the controls so bought the GC version)

And currently playing Resi Zero Remake on the Wii.

I'm all for being critical, but there are a lot of very vocal people in this thread that have hilariously whacked-out expectations for this system. Were people really expecting some 50 odd games before Summer? Flawlessly ported third party AAA titles up the wazoo? A pony in the god damn box? There are a lot of broken records in here that could do with changing.

Personally I'll be grabbing Game & Wario, Monster Hunter, The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 from that list. Given each of these is exlusive to the system, that's a pretty tidy first 6 months in my eyes. Yes, I'd love a 'proper' Mario / Zelda / Metroid etc to get things going, but I'd rather have them when they're (inevitably) ready rather than them being pushed out half-baked just to get people buying the machine.

Loving the Shawshank style prison bit. Sounds like they've even got "More Than" Freeman to voice a prisoner!!

Between April and June in the US/EU Just incase that wasn't enough we have the awesome Wii Fit U

so Rayman and Pikmin until summer that interest me. Hmm that's 4 with the 2 I would buy with the system, its more than I wanted when I bought a 3DS or cube. Can I ask owners does this system feel more like a GameCube or a Wii. It makes a difference to me as I loved the Cube but detest the Wii (I know it's called Wii-U but is it lighter on the wand waving bull****e)
