A couple of weeks ago guy who got xbox early confirmed that you could launch CoD Ghosts after 50% installation on xbox one, that was first I had heard of being able to play whilst it installs.
Think it's game specific though.

There's been ten videos on YouTube with ps4 red light failures that I gave seen and two with what looks like the hdmi port problem.
Its very early to speculate about the red light as the press,fan boys and internet are way too quick to jump on the slightest of negativity with a launch system
I remember buying a Japanese dreamcast on launch and there were rumblings of the machine overheating back then.Really gets on your tits with OTT reports

OTT? The Dreamcast has terrible failure rates. Rushed consoles always do. I love how people are trying to justify it. Bottom line is, these machines are not ready for release and shouldn't be.

I have had zero problems with my PS4 thus far. Admittedly I have not even played it today at all because there is no Ridge Racer and I just can't deal with X as go.

I'd hazard a guess that I was the first person on this forum to get one, just as with all previous Sony launches. This is actually my Dad's PS4, but considering he doesn't play games, and is away until Wednesday, it's effectively mine.

It's the catch of new launches. People with working PS4's can't be bothered to waste time posting reviews which skews the results. Plus, a give away is that it's so concentrated to Amazon, they may well be genuine failed systems but everyone is grouping to vent as I've read several sites and forums today and it's all coming via Amazon. We'll have exactly the same thing when the XBO hits, those unfortunate will very loudly vent their frustrations and cause a scene/panic but the vast majority will be happily playing their new games. It at least all sounds less hassle than the WiiU was.

Mine was delivered at approx 18:30 hours last night. It would appear that Steven had it before me, but he only had to go to his local store to pick it up. I am without doubt the first person to import a PS4.

Yes my Dad. He's had a PS3 since 2007, a fully BC one at that, and never played a single game on it. Instead it is used for his extensive Blu-Ray collection and his extensive streaming services, so it's quite possible for a non-gamer to buy a games console and not play games on it. Considering this man also has a personal cinema, having a PS4 is nothing special at all.

I will be slightly more pleased once NBA 2K14 arrives, which will hopefully be on Monday.

Wow that's loud. I really hope the one I get isn't that loud. I couldn't stand another original style Xbox 360, my PS3 40GB I got is near silent all the time!
