So Sony does a presentation with little in the way of exclusives which there have been plenty of negativity on the Xbox side about, yet somehow this is Sony bashing?

.....I'm back, i found this Halo game that was like a bad Farcry game, the weird thing was it had like one environment that was just forests and rocks, I then found this weird, vampire game but it must of been a beta or something as it barely stayed at 30fps had broken Ai, empty areas and didn't seem to have much in the way of content, it could be good when they finish it as the game world is nice.

If there's at least been some interstitial talking head pieces every now and again it would have felt better.

I would never have watched half of the trailers in the showcase normally.

Yep, even if it had been a great show the delivery is just so flat. A focus on games is great but particularly with stuff were it's just an animation trailer the lack of information is deafening and counter productive. You'd think they'd all have it down to an art form by now but it's as ropey as ever.

If MS's presentation is worse, and let's be honest - there's every chance going of prior years - then they deserve to be absolutely crucified because likewise we're supposed to be in the systems peak era rather than still waiting for stuff to begin hitting and Sony left a cavernous open goal this year. Games with dates = Win, particularly when Sony has gone so early they have weeks to edit accordingly

Didn’t watch it but interested for the mgs3 remake (on pc).

The msg collection is pointless if you have a ps3 as that already has those games in a collection.

Having been on the fence about PSVR2, the one thing the showcase really convinced me was to hold off buying one. Was hoping for some killer apps for it, but next to nothing of interest other than RE4 which we all knew about anyway.

Overall... Yeah it was OK. I don't really know what was going on with it all really. It seems like Sony are just at cruising speed. Nothing exceptional, but steady.
80% of it being available elsewhere isn't a great look for Sony. And the streaming device is just a bit odd.

Dads of the worlds unite!!!, So its a constant fight to get on the TV for me so a low latency second screen for the ps5 is perfect, it fulfills the same purpose at sitting on the sofa playing a switch, you can do some gaming and not monopolize your main TV to do so.

For all the negativity going on in other posts, it really makes me feel this place has become infested with grumpy old men, we where shown a ton of new exclusives which looked really cool, like Sword of the Sea, Phantom Blade Zero, Synapsis, Final Fantasy 16 And Helldivers 2, (the first Helldivers was a top down isometric shooter and was a gem of a shooter) and a few things that didnt intrest me like that heist game and fornite/splatoon, then we have a ton of multi-format stuff like Marathon, The Talos Principle 2, Dragons Dogma, Metal Gear Ect .

For me last nights presentation was a win for gaming with so many cool games shown that i want to play and if Microsoft can get some of the stuff shown on gamepass that would be a great win too as its games i don't have to buy.

I hear you! Sometimes we do come across as a bit negative but I honestly think we've had it so good that our expectations are sky high. Overall the quality of games and products available at the moment is insane. I saw someone playing Elden Ring on the bus on their steam deck and frankly to an old bugger like me who played black and white space invaders on table top machines, this is serious sci fi stuff

I was relatively indifferent to the show itself, there were some cool games of course, I'm hyped for MGS and DD2 and RE4 VR looks sick. Cat game also looked cool. So I'm definitely not hating it is just I expected more first party showings though I understand why these weren't shown as they may be more than a year away, they've already agreed some exclusives with Geoff's summer games fest, and they wanted to focus on some other stuff that may be coming sooner.

And the Q thing, hell I'll probably get one if it's not too expensive and reviews well but I really don't know why it exists as a mass market accessory. But you know what at least they are taking some risks so credit where credit is due.

Ouch... my point is if Xbox showed anything TV or movie related in their games showcase they'd have been absolutely crucified for it.

There is still loads of imagination in the indie world - you just have to look harder (and mostly past the Xbox/PS5 shiny graphics). Plus they don't cost £70 + MT and Season Pass tax.
