There, I said it.
Though seriously, the endless ability to churn out user-made content (albeit content that definitely varies in quality) probably puts Super Mario Maker 2 above the tired and stale NSMB/NSLU/NSMBD.Last edited by Nu-Eclipse; 08-09-2023, 09:00.

Just not the same voice. And I’d love to know the inside story on that one. Clearly things seem to be very amicable so why then? The voice they have for Wonder sounds a touch more Mickey Mouse but it’s not a different direction. Charles whatshisface seems fine and can clearly still do it. So why?

GameCube controller adapter and GameCube controllers are also compatible with the Switch, made so when SSBU was released. Those peripherals could easily be reissued, along with said rejigging for native Switch controls, so it isn't nearly the issue that it once might have been for an F-Zero AX/GX Switch port.
All that said, put me in the camp for an all-new and original F-Zero game.
We all know it won't happen though.

Hauling around GC controller, adapter, and maybe an extra stand to prop the Switch up so you can actually attach the adapter to the console, would kill the portability factor of the Switch, and they'd still need to factor in people playing without the GC pad.
If it's a GX remake, it'll be without analog triggers. And if we get a completely new F-Zero, I fear we'll get at least one control gimmick a la Star Fox Zero.
I'm still doubtful we'll get something, though.

Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again: if Nintendo are going to pull the crap they did with Starfox Zero on F-Zero then I'd honestly just rather they let the series die.
