Well that's normal, all franchises use ideas left on the cutting room floor in sequels, but between Breath and Tears there still are 6 years between their official publishing date, it's very unlikely we'll see a new Zelda or a DLC for Tears in 2024 or 2025.
Remake/remasters are more likely, but I'd prefer not to have any.

I'd love a Twilight Princess Switch remaster.

Of course all franchises utilise various different ideas, but that doesn't mean that it actually took six years to make Tears end-to-end - a sequel to the most commercially successful Zelda game ever (BotW) would've been a no-brainer for the number crunchers at Nintendo and the game engine was literally already there to facilitate it.

I don't personally care for Tears DLC - I STILL have yet to play Tears! - but there is nothing to say that a Master Mode won't be sneakily dropped for it alongside extra content. Nintendo have lied about things like this in the past.

I don't want remakes and/or remasters either, but that is literally what the most recent Nintendo Directs have shown we're getting so I don't know what to tell you. I doubt that Nintendo make another AAA title for the current hardware (no, I don't count Super Mario Bros. Wonder as AAA - they probably made that in super-quick time with minimal fuss).

It feels hard to imagine that Switch 2 won't see HD rereleases of TP and WW. I could imagine another Link's Awakening style remake as well of Link to the Past. For mainline Zelda I feel there'll only be one next gen and it could potentially end up being so late on that it's a cross-gen Switch 2/Switch 3 release. I don't think we'll see a new one for a long time and I'm fine with that, Zelda actually feels somewhat in need of a rest.

It'll probably turn up at some point as well but I've just tuned Metroid Prime 4 right out of acknowledgment. Till something tangible appears it's just vapourware and I'm not expecting to see it anytime soon.

So that puts me in the mainline new 3D Mario camp, probably early on but I'm absolutely not ruling out Nintendo following the examples of themselves and the others and releasing the Switch 2 without a AAA exclusive at all.

            Digest:

            Switch 2 isn't a thing. Still.

That would roughly mean that the Nintendo Switch 2 would launch for £379.99 which seems fairly plausible as it is in the same ballpark as the Steam Deck and is high enough that it still retains the existing Switch models as cheaper alternatives without the need to lower their price points this year.

We're a long way from the days of me feeling mind blown by the Gamecube reveal when Nintendo went "£129.99 - Mic Drop"

That is astonishing. It's the same price the Super Nintendo launched at iirc.

Playing Devil's Advocate, it didn't do the GC any good - it sold even less than the N64 before it.

Also, interestingly enough, £130 in 2002 would be approx. £230 today.

It won't be 1:1. Nintendo has no history of doing this.

                          SNES was £150.

I think you'll find that they definitely do have that kind of history. Their price conversions for their consoles across the board have pretty much near enough been 1:1 with a few exceptions here and there, and not by much at all.

Given the current climate, I doubt that they'll be adjusting anything for the next console price-wise and I'll take a bet with you on that.

No doubt they'll follow the route of others and adjust RRP's of games to £70 as standard

I remember buying NBA Jam for the SNES when it came out (from Game, I think), and it was £59.99 (£100 in today's money, so says the internet). I'm certainly not advocating £70 games, but it's odd how game pricing has remained relatively consistent for such a long time.
