MK8 looks nice on the new screen. Have they confirmed its OLED out the box this time? or are we going to have to wait 9 years for the upgrade?
Also are those magnets really going to last or be strong enough to hold the controllers in? vs the slide mechanism that also locked?Last edited by fishbowlhead; 16-01-2025, 16:08.

Labo, the software itself will run but the unit won't fit in the cardboard cradles. Hardly a miss.
By the way, this was a weird reveal. Just the console, little to no games. Feels like they rushed to it out to spoil other leaks about the console itself, and then leave three months for game leaks. Weird.

If the S1 Joycons can sync to Switch 2, Ring Fit Adventure will run. You know, for that niche userbase of 15 million.

It's not like there isn't precedent, after all. Super Mario Galaxy 2 might have been critically acclaimed on Wii but it only sold 6 million copies to a userbase of 100m approx.

Not in relation to the console userbase, but it's the 11th best-selling Nintedo game on the platform. Development costs are probably lower than Echoes Of Wisdom. They'll want to squeeze it as hard they can, then release a sequel plus brand new ring-thing a couple of years down in Switch 2's life.Last edited by Nu-Eclipse; 16-01-2025, 20:53.

Ring fit is certainly on Nintendos radar and zero reason it won’t be BC, or have a sequel.
