It was most likely be games that were built around the original JoyCon like Labo, Ringgit etc. I don't think this new one has that sensor for recognising hand shapes like used in 1-2 Switch, I think the Wario game used that too.

MK8 looks nice on the new screen. Have they confirmed its OLED out the box this time? or are we going to have to wait 9 years for the upgrade?

Also are those magnets really going to last or be strong enough to hold the controllers in? vs the slide mechanism that also locked?

Doesn't sound so bad after all. Worth keeping an eye on then.

They can't be any worse than the slide mechanism that totally gives up after minimal wear and tear, that's for sure.

That’s the new Mario Kart. I’d be surprised if it’s not the big launch game.

Also, when is the Direct? 4th of Feb or 2nd of April?

If the S1 Joycons can sync to Switch 2, Ring Fit Adventure will run. You know, for that niche userbase of 15 million.
Labo, the software itself will run but the unit won't fit in the cardboard cradles. Hardly a miss.

By the way, this was a weird reveal. Just the console, little to no games. Feels like they rushed to it out to spoil other leaks about the console itself, and then leave three months for game leaks. Weird.

                  Bollocks. That’s miles off.

What are we thinking, June launch?

15m from a userbase of, what, 150m Switch owners? Yeah, somehow I doubt that moves the needle for Nintendo where that's concerned.

It's not like there isn't precedent, after all. Super Mario Galaxy 2 might have been critically acclaimed on Wii but it only sold 6 million copies to a userbase of 100m approx.

Likely somewhere in the region of £450 just to play Mario Kart 9...

                      I'm in

It's 100% and LCD screen so I'm thinking the plan is a singlr Family unit and then the kids can fully have it when the OLED hits around 2029

Not in relation to the console userbase, but it's the 11th best-selling Nintedo game on the platform. Development costs are probably lower than Echoes Of Wisdom. They'll want to squeeze it as hard they can, then release a sequel plus brand new ring-thing a couple of years down in Switch 2's life.

I recon November launch just in time for Christmas hysterics. Nintendo aren’t in any rush due to STILL strong Switch sales.

                            Is it confirmed as LCD?

My point still stands. Ring Fit Adventure is highly unlikely to be getting a Switch 2 sequel and the fact that it only sold to a literal tenth of the Switch userbase underlines that.

Only a tenth of the userbase of Switch, you do say some funny things sometimes. Those are phenomenal numbers especially for a brand new game, regardless of lockdown etc etc.

Ring fit is certainly on Nintendos radar and zero reason it won’t be BC, or have a sequel.
