I'm hoping we get an unprecedented shadow drop. Meaning we all should see Switch 2 already set up under our TVs when we all get back from work today.

Currently there remains enough smoke to suggest it's still on its way. The focus seems to be centrong on what would be sometime between 4pm and 5pm UK time today

Nintendo are currently "very, very upset" by leaks, say former Nintendo employees. Presumably someone leaked this information to them: https://www.eurogamer.net/nintendo-v...-staff-suggest

From the many years is following Nintendo Directs the afternoon ones are usually 2pm or 3pm (I think that depends on BST/GMT) or 10/11pm. If I remember correctly the original Switch dropped in that early afternoon slot.

"[Nintendo]'s been disrupted daily, for months, with these leaks, and I'm 100 percent sure they are really mad, to the most severe level. We joke around but... they are very, very, very upset by this." So they're just assuming, basically (not exactly hard to imagine a company might be a bit miffed with leaks of sensitive information). Unless, as you say, current employees leaked this info to them. Which they then leaked to the media...

Indeed, they may be just assuming based on their prior experience, but I couldn't resist making a childish jape. Not least because of how serious and momentous their take is on a matter of such utter triviality.

Open world Mario Kart? Let the leaks recommence...

So I assume that's Mario Kart 9 and as it's the only thing they showed it must be a launch title.

That’s nice to see the joy-cons can be used for air hockey now.

I am surprised the Direct is as far away as April. With mass production in full swing and the amount of leaks I really thought a reveal and in shops within 3 months.

I guess June/July is the time frame.
