Sony should put Insomniac in charge of overseeing Bungie to keep them in line going forward, otherwise they can watch that near 4b disappear into the ether.

Wasn't this game already perfectly excellent already?

Seriously I would rather they get Naughty Dog to go back and remaster the original Uncharted trilogy. They have aged quite a lot but are still really good and could be brought up inline with Uncharted 4.

Doing a PS5 version of Last of Us 2 is probably not really a big job though, compared to upgrading three PS3 games to UC4 standard.

The improvement will be so small that it feels like the incoming storm of complaints over it not being a free upgrade can already be heard on the horizon

The best part of the Last of Us Part I remake is they also released it on PC... so I would imagine this is going the same route and is definitely a result of the TV shows success dictating tie-in software projects.

It's just a shame that the backlog catalogue of games which could actually benefit the most from remasters are being completely ignored.

I honestly don't think 99% of remasters are 'needed'.

But they make great returns that help to fund more expensive and interesting projects.

I don't really see the problem with it to be honest. It's additive, not subtractive.

It already runs at 60fps and is still one of the best looking games out there, i really don’t see what could be added artistically or fidelity wise.

It exists because the TV show has been so successful... thankfully I'm re-releasing it that means a PC release is very likely although if the rumours are true and this is out on PS5 in January then the PC date might be several months later.
