Oh really? I thought it was the just the PS5 Pro version that was limited, to ~12k units globally. I thought the PS5 Amateur was going to be on a more general release.

Saw this the other day but didn't drill down too much into the detail until now. I feel like this particular inclusion -

Limited Edition PlayStation Poster (1 of 30 possible designs)

- is what's going to send the collectors over the edge buying multiple units. I was told there was a matching cover for the disc reader, but had thought that I was having my leg pulled until I just saw it on the blog post too

The thing I'm most tempted by is the Portal. I've been considering one for a while and I feel it's going to be slightly less of a bum rush than the consoles.

Scared Symbols (self claimed biggest playstation podcast) claims insiders told them Concord cost more that reported 250m at an eye watering 400m...

That seems to have made sony insane if their line up for the next year outside Wolverine and Death Stranding is just remastered Horizon and Days Gone.... please throw some of that money at Bloodborne, a game people want.

Anyone had experience with their PS5 overheating? My nephew was on the phone in a panic last night as his console keeps going to a black screen then powering off. I got him to remove the covers and vacuum it out and remove the additional external fan junk he had added to the system. But it’s still not working.

I’m confused, what did he add exactly? If he’s added some powered fan thing outside he could have created negative pressure in the system, cancelling out the internal cooling, and cooking the mobo.

You’re spot on. Had a look at it and followed a guide from iFixit and gave it another clean out. Removed the external cooler and it seems ok now. These “extra cooling” things are a scam.

PS5 has absolutely fantastic cooling, and SeriesX, both just great solutions. Gimmick add on crap can and will damage the system, as You’ve just found out.

Absolute BULL. Absolutely no one at Sony would walk into a game studio that’s spent 200m already and has nothing to show for it, and think year ill have some of this pipe dream crack as well, here’s another 200m lets get it finished, NO ONE.

I don't care how much it cost financially to make, I just know that they shut down a number of reputable and capable studios in order to concentrate on stuff like Concord instead. That's the real cost right there.
