I was twiddling with a LG phone in a shop the other day and one of the 2 screen areas still have a tactile press feel to it.

      iPod touch problem -

I used to be able to check my hotmail using the web browser but now when i put in my password it just takes me back to the login screen? And yes, my password is correct, it tells me if I do it wrong.

Anyone else had this problem? Can i fix it?

I have not had this problem with the ipod touch in particular however, hen using safari on my macbook, previously imac both times this has happened with me and to access my hotmail on the mac I had to use firefox so in the end I had to switch to gmail, it seems the same problem now applies to the ipod touch, I think it has something to do with the cache.

Try clearing the cache, history etc on the iPod. It's under settings>Safari IIRC.

Have you got the installer icon on your Touch now? There should be loads of apps in there

                  Hello,

Wonder if anyone can help me. Our home pc has recently deceased and my iPod was attached to this, and as your Ipod can only be connected to one pc or laptop I have lost all my music on there and cannot obviously add or delete anything only charge the Ipod on my laptop. Does anybody know a way of disconnecting my Ipod from my pc and re attaching it to my laptop so I keep all my music thats actaully on the Ipod but can also add new music via my laptop?

                  Thank You

I'm pretty certain that nothing will happen to the songs on the iPod and that you can connect it to other iTunes on other PC's. I've connected my sisters iPod to my iTunes and added songs with no problems.

Do i need to update my itunes then perhaps? You can maybe play the songs but I'm not sure if you can modify your Ipod via another pc?

Click on the installer icon you doucher!!!
Before you can access the wealth of stuff available, you need to install (via the installer) bsd subsystem, community sources and possibly openssh.

Pretty sure you dont, unless maybe if you have automatic music synchronisation set up between iTunes and your iPod. But if you have manual synchro, then nothing will happen to the iPod if you connect it to another PC.

I'm sure I've attached my Ipod to my laptop before and it wont let me transfer music onto it or take music off it either because it was originally synched up to my main pc.

i gathered from tiz's post that the ipod is set up to automatically sync (hence the message when plugging it into the laptop, which iirc doesn't appear if the ipod is set in manual mode).

also i'm pretty sure if you click cancel when prompted with the message about erasing and syncing, it causes the ipod to be removed from the list on the left?

depending on how much music you have on the ipod, you could just open it in my computer, go to the folder options and enable viewing hidden files, then drag the music folder (it's inside the 'ipod control' folder) into itunes and it should copy the music to the laptop. if your itunes is set to copy music to the itunes folder and also organise, it'll name the music files properly

Right I'm back and now am a proud owner of a 32 GB iPod Touch.
I've had a quick play around with it and google maps is awesome - It will sure come in handy on holidays.
I'm now on 1.1.3 firmware. What's the best and most easiest trouble free way to jailbreak this?
