Chad - whereabouts on the site did you get that message, was is after you placed the order for an upgrade?

I'm going to hold off paying the ?15 unless I can get confirmation my line is even suitable for 1Mb. Our exchange was only enabled in September, so I've already been waiting 2 years for BB. I can wait a few more months to see about any speed increase.

It was on the Change Service menu. It's working ok now, but they are asking for ?15 to upgrade. If it's going to be free though, then I'll wait as well.

The checkers used to say I could upgrade to 1mb if I liked. Now I'm told I can't get it! Does anyone know what line conditions are needed for 1mb? I'm 4.2Km from the exchange.

Cool stuff, BT seem to be finally getting their act together with this Broadband whatsit. A 1mb upgrade sounds nice and dandy to be honest....though WoW runs perfectly well on a half meg, and I don't really need it for anything else!

I've heard about this ADSL+2 thing being released in a few years, which increases the speed massively...sounds interesting.

I've paid the extra ?15, but by rights as ive had an account with them for over 12 months, i should get the ?15 fee waived (i hope )

Meh, I found that by queueing lots of pr0n all at once allows a nice long, slow and steady stream to cum through, rather than blowing a load all at once.

I tried the upgrade but it told me my phoneline couldn't accept the 1mb line...yet I've just checked with BT (from the website) and they tell me it will accept 1mb, but not 2mb...mmm.

Give it a while. Once the upgrades get going you'll either go to 2mb (if you can) or be repriced.

This process may take up to 6 months as BT roll out the upgrades

Hence the ?15 queue jump looking tempting...
