I've had enough of it. Waited just over 5 weeks for this piece of **** to come back. If it goes off anywhere again it'll probably be just as long. Slight hope i'm just tired and i'm missing something obvious but well turning volume up and making sure the internal mute and normal mute ain't on isn't too difficult.

Hoyl ****!
All this Samsung fault stuff is ShockingI was like INCHES away from buying the TV about 6 months ago, to replace a modest Toshiba 21" 4:3 tv (that TV prob had the best CRT picture i've ever seen) I had the money in my hand but could not justify spending all of it. Got more important things to pay for like rent/food. So i got a Sony 28" widescreen CRT for 300 pounds
. no high def for me which is upsetting as i've got a 360 pre-order(even though that means **** now).
I do have a 19" CRT Iiyama monitor that does rez up to 2048 X 1536 and has two VGA inputs. A question, is this good for some hi def VGA 360 goodness?
Unfortunitly my Sony CRT is ****ing B0rked. Geometrey is pretty bad, horitontal lines near the top bend in the corners
sorry, a bit of a ramble

Sounds as bad as mine mate. Was away for apparently three weeks (I'm sure it was four) and came back with no fix applied, and another fault created.
Took a week or so to arrange pick-up, and this has now been over two months I've been without the use of my TV. It's claimed that both are under 30 days though (this one is 31 days to my count, and the invoice I have says the 10th last month) so I've contacted Samsung about it. They seemed helpful, and said that they don't care when it was picked up, but rather when it was arranged. If it's been over 28 working days (hasn't quite) they'll sort out credit / refund via the retailer. He said it'll take 5 days to get a report, and one to process it, so I should expect a call at the end of next week about it.
I have my doubts though.

I can understand it not being noticed that the VGA socket basically isn't working (what happens with that at first it'd flick from saying PC in top left, on and off, sometimes go on that standby mode where the light flashes, then it'd come back on and so on. Like it's getting a signal but not fully... now it just seems to stay in that standby mode.) but i would of thought the speakers should be noticed. The firmware was updated it now says 22nd Aug and it doesn't tear.
Doubt i'll have it in time for the 360, he said i'd be contacted. I'm thinking of telling them shove it up there filthy robbing arsehole as mine was picked up over 5 weeks ago so that's easily over 30 days. It's not going away for ****ing weeks again.

I feel really sorry for you guys, I order a JVC tv from ebuyer and they ****ed me around for about a week, then when i recieved the tv, the picture was AWEFUL and the geometery TOTALLY wonky. i returned it easily and got my money back sharpish. This experience really got my blood boiling and was very impatiant and wanted the problem sorted sharpish.
If i had gone through what you guys hadthen i probably would have exploded.
This is really, REALLY poor on Samsungs part. I could have been in the same situation as you guys.

Not quite true as the twats didn't deliver it to my house yesterday despite me having a confirmed delivery date and time. On top of that they have managed to 'cancel' my order.
