Any idea when Panasonic or Phillips HDTV 32 inch LCD be around 900 quids rather than 1300 or whatever.

Well, I guess it is nice in theory, but the lights need to project around the whole room (somehow), not just in a linear sideways fashion they do here.
I do agree with what is said before that it is pretty much the best 32" around. Expensive mind, so much that I won't be getting one for myself...and I don't see the extra cost over other 32"'s being particularly worthwhile.
If the retailer cant stock it though, I'll be very happy to go with either Panasonic LCD!

Also, did you get your telly yet rossco?
I think he was talking about resi 4 , for some reason it looks like butt through 480p, as does fable on xbox

Seems weird that samsung chose 1366x768 though, I can't see any benefit in it (though I guess 1080i looks better than on other TV's?).
Yes, ideally you want to be sending it the full native resolution, but that is not always possible. (many PC games are 4:3 only, for example)

Besides, 720p upscaled to 1366x768 basically looks exactly the flippin' same, unless you go a zoomed-in screenshot comparison of black-on-white text on a webpage, in which case it's marginal.
Support for proper PC resolution and higher resolution downscaling of 1080i outbalances it IMO.
F-Zero looks absolutely jawdropping in 480p 16:9 through Component. Unfortunately, GameCube RE4 looks pretty eye-bleedingly bad, mainly because when you remove the letterbox boarders, the resolution becomes about the same as a PS1 game vertically, and it shows.
For this reason alone, the PS2 game has become key for me. Missed opportunity Capcom.

PS2 version would be the key.

I can't see how much better the PS2 version can be, as I just find the game to simply be inferior (graphically and control wise) to the GC version. I wonder if the xbox/360 will get a Resi 4 version..........*dreaming*
