    Finally got a call from the couriers should have my TV back tomorrow between 8 and 10.

    If it comes tomorrow it will have been a total of 5 weeks and 3 days since it was picked up. As soon as i've got it Samsung and Sontec are getting 5 weeks worth of built up err pissed offedness

      Any thoughts on the samsung guys? ive heard a few good things about them and im thinking 32" is probs the biggest you want to get to maintain good quality?
      i saw that lcd in my local comet and the picture was very good. it looked massive to say it was 32"

        Thats what i would recomend, i know what bad service is like. i ordered a JVC TV from Ebuyer a few weeks before the sony one and they were incompetant, really bad customer service and the TV was ****ed when i eventually got it.
        Glad i went with ED instead.
        Thanks for that but it is ?60 dearer on there and its not even in stock at the moment anyway.

        Soundandvisiononline.com have it in stock for only ?20 more so if I havent made any progress with WebElec by next Monday morning at the latest, I'll have a swatch around elsewhere and consider Empire too.

                  They price match with games, iirc, but they may not price match internet prices. will have a check tomorow.



                  edit: Just remembered that they dont honour price matching if the item your trying to price match is out of stock.

                    They don't price match for TVs with internet retailers, no high street retailer I've seen does so. Strangely enough, it works the other way around too with some online firms (wont match in shop prices).

                      Well play.com have it in stock for ?640 but again, no finance and I dont have all the money to pay it now hence not going to that so if they did match online I would just say that play.com do it. Then ask for the finance deal in store. I'll give it a go anyway and see...

                        Is everyone going for the Samsungs with built-in freeview then? I left it out myself. Got the 26" model for less ?590 delivered a while back. Lovely.

                          Oh by the way, Currys are advertising the TV (32") with ?100 off at the moment, but I don't think it is the Freeview verson. Still more than online, but if you find it instore at least you have some piece of mind. I'm off to Currys on the weekend anyhow.

                            Yeh I am, dont know why really as I have Sky hooked to my room and I'll be getting a sky box in my room probably in the next few months. But its just a nice little extra to boast about. Sure, if the freeview was out of stock and I could get the normal one I would have done that.

                            Still no TV today, they didn't receive delivery yesterday so got to wait til Friday now to find out if I'm getting it Monday this time.

                              Got mine back today.

                              Can't seem to get anything working through the VGA socket, tried PC and dreamcast VGA box. Was hoping it was just settings on my PC but well DC is just plug it in and off you go.

                              Oh yeah and the built in speakers don't seem to work anymore.
