They're probably just trying to keep the cost down by leaving out things they think most buyers won't use.

I've not had any time to play with the tele, but hooked up to my PC it is bloody gobsmackingly good. I've played through the start of HL2 in MAX detail (with HDR) and there is NO GHOSTING at all!

I've been at the pub all night so please excuse the poor shots, over the weekend I'll set things up proper. Thankfully, despite the damaged box, the screen is fine.

For reference, the PC monitor is a 19" Viewsonic, the PC is a uber Shuttle and the TV is a LG32LX2R. I've yet to sort out the speakers, hence the mess and the randomly placed Logitech control centre

      edit -
Pic1: Taken with flash, Windows background. Native Res for every shot
Pic2: Half-life 2 Lost Cost, full detaul, Widescreen native res. No flash.
Pic3: About two inches away from screen on this very post. No flash.

All pics taken on a Canon 350d at medium quality and reduced by about half quality in photoshop

      Pic 1
      Pic2
      Pic3
      About 750k each.

That second pic is lovely, but what happened to your speaker in the first pic

Anyway, on first impressions, seems as if you've found what you were looking for

Looks lovely, hope you're going to take those stickers off though.

Yeah I know, my mate still has his stickers on his, first thing I done was take them all off when I walked in today!

Ordered that wee DVI-VGA splitter off Ebay for ?1.50 just there.

Yeah not had the time to remove stickers yet

Have just tried TV for the first time...pretty poor to be honest. I let it auto-tune and again I have no time to tweak things. I'm surprised that the signal I'm getting on this screen is so much worse than I was getting with the last one.

                Announcement: Stickers removed!

Hmm, lowest quality feed I intend on using is Sky+ through RGB Scart. I hope that scales up ok.

Strange, the signal strenght is on par with my old crt, and way above my Sony VCR.

First tweak I recommend is to deactivate Intelligent Eye, and then set manually your pic settings, which are stored for every input, ie, adjusting Scart pic settings does not affect Component pic settings.

Yes, you'll need it. No biggie, they're just 2 different stereo connectors, there's no loss of quality. I have my TV connected to my speakers receiver with a long one.

No need to buy anything, there's a VGA->DVI cable bundled.

Sweet, didn't realise you could set for different inputs.

Re the signal - I let it auto tune, so I actually have three of each channel of varying quality, none of which are particularly good. I do have a signal booster somewhere though.

Forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question but have you set the tuner system to I (UK/Ireland) in the setup?

The reason I ask is that my old Hitachi was easier to set because it would ask for the country before tuning, but with the LG I had to set manually the system to BG (Europe)
