Just though I would post some pics of my new setup, just recently upgraded.

    TV is a LG60PF95, 60" @1080p with 1:1 Pixel Matching and 100Hz.

AV Receiver is a Onkyo TSXR605 with HDMI, Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio. Although you can't see them all, it is hooked up to 7.1 speakers.

Stand is a Alphason AD2/105-PB in piano black, which is a magnet for fingerprints.

Rest is all pretty standard stuff, Xbox360 via VGA @ 1080p, US Wii via the Onkyo's HDMI and my PC is connected via DVI-HDMI for the anime watching.

Good call on the amp - I've got the 705 and it amazes me every time I turn it on.

My gaming setup is nothing special, however this christmas break I was told to tidy up the cabling behind the TV.

What a bloody nightmare it was:

Bloody hell winky, that looks like cable hell! Looks like you made quite a difference though.

3x3cut10n3r vbmenu_register("postmenu_1281535", true); - what speakers are they? I'm after similar although with your 60" TV they perhaps look smaller than they actually are. I'm after the same receiver too.

They are a set of 'eltax' that I picked up from Richersounds, years ago, for about ?350 the lot, they were mix and match from the same series.

I have two of the big-un's (79*21*24cm) and six of the little-un's (22*14*17cm) as the only sell them in two's.

I guess the TV does make everything look smaller than it really is but there is a beastly original Xbox next to the left speaker for scale.

Whats the deal with that pixel matching feature, does it improve the picture on standard definition sources?

Removes overscan, so you see every single pixel on screen.

This is an older picture, but it's still prety close. Just replace the DVD under the TV with a PS3, and you've got it:

Took a couple of pics using my phone, quality isn't that great but it gives an idea.

US SNES, US Dreamcast, and a modded PS2. Needless to say my setup is somewhat old compared to most of you lot, but then that's because most of my gaming is done on my PC

I want to change the desk at some point for something a bit bigger (had this one for about six years), but up until now I've not seen anything I like that isn't way too big for the space I have available.

Yes. I bought the 360 when Halo 3 came out (sucker) and that was whilst we were buying our new home. So I have a Panasonic telly with my Wii and 360 going through component. With things like new radiators (?220 each), furnishings (?lots), new sofa (?lots) and the kitchen and bathroom needing work (?couple of grand each) the telly is the very last thing on the list.

SD is fine for the Wii but the 360 struggles with things like text. Having said that I've only really got into Crackdown and Orange Box and I'm sure neither of those really need HD that much. Oh and whoever wrote PGR4 needs to test their game with an SD telly on a night level in the rain. It's guesswork as to where the road goes most often. But that doesn't grab me like PGR2 or MSR once did either so I'm not terribly concerned.
