Battlefield 2 Server now up - 194.70.50.89 Uber fast connection

Just had one of the best online moments ever.

Had about 10 people defending a base against wave after wave of attack with medics keeping us stocked up on health. We literally took to C4ing tanks and knifing people when they started to overrun us. Best thing was, just as all was lost and I was down to my last bar of heath a relief party came storming in and saved the day

If we can have an NTSC server where we actually have a commander and work in a team, this could be one of my fave online games ever.

The graphics are great, but it's the co-op aspect I would love. I always choose medic role, and the above scene sounds top!

EDIT: Maybe we should register with NTSC names?

The server browser really is poor. I assume everyone else is getting tons of lag just trying to scroll through the list too?

Yep.

Best to just get a good server, and connect over TCP/IP.

Yeah could try. Agree having a good commander really helps. That what put me off BFV as it just had lots of people running around being rambo, ended up feeling like a slow version of quake.

By the way, don't mess about with the demo code, EA have been banning servers for even taking away the time limit...

I am a medic class too, aren't they just so fun to play? I love darting in between tanks 'n NPC's just to resque one lonely soldier, or waiting back while you see an enemy tank rolling towards your squad. One bang, a dizzy effect and then "MEEEEEDDDIICCCC!!!" bursting into your ears, just like in a war film. Such a buzz, and completely unique to this game.

I've always played the medic class where available in FPS's, most notibly in TFC, but this is by far the best implimentation yet.

Special Forces rocks too, their gun is ace, and the C4 is just...to die for (and the amount of times I've killed myself with this stuff, sheesh).

It's got to be the Special ops. It's the only gun I'm remotely accurate with expecially in single shot and you have to love that C4.
Had such an intence fight around the artillery as we kept trying to blow it up that for the entire night I kind of forgot that the rest of the map existed.

been playing this during the lunch hour at work and i am really getting into it

still experimenting with the different classes but i'm preferring the MEC anti tank, the gun is much better than the US mp5

i'm really looking forward to the full game
