I'd second not bothering with RSG. It's over rated anyway. For the price of that you could get 2 or even 3 good shooters. Most of Capcom's and SNK's games are quite cheap too.

Affordable games from capcom and SNK i'd recommend are: SFZ2, Vampire Hunter (both are probably under 4 quid), Vampire Savior, KOF 96, Real bout special and Samurai shodown 4. Imo those are the best reasonably priced saturn fighters.

Yeah RSG is too expensive for what you get. I got mine for about ?85 last year from Japan. I'd say the game is probably worth paying ?50 for (it is afterall rather good), but not the silly prices that are flying around at the moment.

Radiant silvergun was the game that started me importing i got it very soon after its release for ?40 i also bought the action replay 4 in 1 and vampire saviour if i had known how much it would go for now i would have bought 10 copys not really sure why its getting such huge prices from what i can gather its not the rarest game ever just seeing how many are for sale on ebay

I have one of the Megaman games on the saturn X3? It's pretty similar to the SNES version. I've only played the SNES version of Megaman X? (can't remember which version) on Virgin Atlantic flight. The SNES version seems to suffer from slowdown, the Saturn version iirc doesn't.

They look and play almost identically though.

I've got the Saturn Rockman X3, it's turd ! Just the same as he SNES and Mega Drive really. now Rockman X4 is something to get excited about ! That's far better.

rockman x4...the ps1 version is a lot cheaper, but is the saturn version superior?
it's one the games in the X series i really loved, but never got a chance to beat. the later X games seemed to get sucky after this one.

Agree X3 is pants. The game clearly runs off a SNES code, hence the side bars and SMALL sprites. Even then its still pixelated looking and slowdown filled(?).. ugh.

Rockman X4 on the Saturn is good, it usually gets slagged and called inferior to its PSX brother but I fail to see why exactly. I found it pretty much identical to the PS version but then with shorter load times. Ofcourse the joypad's better too

saturn Rockman X4 IS better than the PSX version. The only bad part about it is that the serch lights on the very first stage aren't transparent. Apart from that the Saturn version is better in every way. No slowdown, faster loading, faster saving (Why do PSX games take ages to save?) and better contol pad

I think people just dislike it because it's a lazy Snes port sold at full retaill price.
