taroumaru is looking better each time i watch that vid, you know i could go as far as saying it looks well worth ?150, i definately want to play on it one day at least.

Also i'm saddened that fighting force never got a saturn release, i loved that game on the ps1 and judging by that demo the saturn version was looking good. Bring back the 3D scroling fighter i say, loved the genre shame its dead

Oh yeah thats Model 3 alright.

Taroumaru I have it (got it mint for 140) but it not worth that much in gamepay terms. But is worth it if you want to see every trick used inthe Saturn book, in some places it looks better than RSG.
As for Fighting Force it would have been nice to see it come out , even though it did look a bit simple. Still have the Real Time Saturn Power disc .

The real shame is we never got a 2D Streets Of Rage IV for the Saturn with massive sprites and a 4 player mode

Tomarou has a glaring fault in that its no fun.

All they needed was a normal shuriken attack for idiots sake.

that would have been cool but saturn owners did get crows and final fight, they're not worth the money that people charge but they are okayish

            Sega Rally

A brilliant showcase of the Saturn's 3D capabilities and still the best racer of it's generation.

i paid ?80 for my taromaru in good and complete condition

glad i did as its arse

some games havent aged well - but the Saturn has enough great games to make it a console worthy of a purchase

games that look poo but play well are Daytona, burning rangers and house of the dead

i actually like crows but final fight revenge is arse

the bone breaks are pretty decent but otherwise just a very poor Capcom 3d fighter

I thought Crows was a bit poor , but Revenge is dire and looks sh8t too. I expected a bit better

                    Hey TA, what about 1999

Right, so I got my modded Saturn - with added 60 Hz toggle - back from the shop. Everything seems groovy and my Capcom fighters no longer have any of that horrible reverb resulting from forcing them to play at 50 Hz.

Unfortunately, my PAL copy of NiGHTS stutters like crazy when played at 60 Hz. Fair enough, it's probably PAL optimised; thing is, Slicer's usually dependable list (https://www.geocities.com/timessquar...20/titles.html) says both NiGHTS and Christmas NiGHTS work perfectly at full screen, full speed. I should note that all the other PAL SS games I own behave as Slicer's list states.

So, this a mistake on his part, or mine? Anyone experienced the same stuttering when they attempted to play their PAL copy of NiGHTS at 60 Hz?

I own a PAL Christmas NiGHTS which works perfectly on my Japanese Saturn with either the Action Replay or datel converter.

I think Xmas Nights is PAL optomised, but not full screen.

I also play it on a Japanese Saturn fine, but I'm not sure if it's running slightly too fast and I don;t realise. Certainly the karaoke at the end is well off time becuse the video is running faster than the CDDA music.

i was initially disapointed when i first got that game.

Thankfully it turned out to play well but i still have this feeling that if sega themselves had converted it it would have turned out better

Anyone know why they gave it to tantalus to convert? (also i think they did manx tt)

Yeah it plays well enough and the music score is awesome. It would have been better if done , even better if AM#2 used the VC game engine (but that was never really going to happen). Shame tantalus never used the 4Meg Cart for those that had it (get rid of mid level loading)

The reason why Tantalus got the job is that AM#1 were far too busy on NA@MI at the time, it was them that did all the bug testing on the board ect. As for Manx TT The CS Teams were busy on other stuff , most were split up to join the likes of the Sonic Team to help start work on DC software or left the group and set up land Ho (makers of PenPen ) which is made up for ex members of the CS Sega Rally Team

The game looks and plays fine, the trouble is the karaoke does not. The text is miles behind
