    The Orphanage

Bloody great. Del Toro is a real master of his craft.

Well the effects were pretty appalling too. It looked so cheap throughout. Felt like half of it was shot blue screen and most of the lighting was done in post. Funny how First Class, with its new cast and some real nobody mutants, ended up so much better in just about every way.

Hobo with a Shotgun - Really poor start but then it gets hilarious. No originality or mastery, just pure trash.

The Future - zZz *Wakes up* The lass is nice. zzzzZZZz

Charley Varrick - Nice film. Aged a bit but still has some nice parts.

Martha Marcy May Marlene - Olsen helps a lot but you have to endure the film (and not the story).

The Son of No One - Someone needs to sue their surgeon. The only thing that comes out when they wank now is lumps of ****.

Alphaville - Super sweet. First time seeing it.

Just watching Showdown in little Tokyo, haven't seen it in years, still brilliantly bad in the best of ways, cheesy but fantastic.

Dolph in the cheese fest headband towards the end is awsome!

Finally saw Millenium after years of wondering about it. Verdict: meh.

You realise he didn't direct this don't you?

Watched Screamers the other night. Last watched this when it came out around 16 years ago! Few dodgy effects in there but it still holds up alright for a cheap movie and is helped along nicely by starring Robocop in there.

Popped the sequel on this evening...utter trash. I was hoping at least the special effects might be decent as it's only a few years old only it was filmed in that typical straight-to-DVD/TV format and it looked so crap.

Herbie Fully Loaded. Thought it was gonna be crap but really liked it. Soundtrack was tops.

                        The Darkest Hour

Not a great film, maybe not even a good film but not the crapfest the reviews would have it be

It happens all the time. You get the known executive producer name in large letters on the box. A few people thought Tarantino had made Hostel.

Bad Teacher, was surprisingly decent, Segel is eminently likable and there's a few laffs and crude words.

Why did he do that? Why?
I agree. I disliked the fact it also broke canon. It's well established in various X-Men media that the mutant gene is not hereditary (with some comic/cartoon storylines revolving around normal children born from mutants), and yet there were at least two cases of siblings in the film, each with mutant powers, implying some degree of genetic heritage. Fluke, or bad scripting? Or did they officially change this at some point and I wasn't paying attention?
