Off topic but does anyone watch Soccer AM??
They do an awesome take off of Danny called Franky Fryer who visits Football ground on "Away Days" & it's freaking hillarious & totally awesome.
They actually had Franky & Danny on the show together at Upton Park on the Christmas special & it was just about the best bit of Chrimbo telly this year.
Danny is ok in my books too.
Football Factory & Severance are classics in my books
I haven't kept up to date with his films lately though so I might have to have a splurge & pick some up.

On the topic of violence, i watched Knuckle last week:
Despite the fairly average rating i found it absolutely fascinating. Its filmed over the course of ten years and covers a host of ongoing gypsy disputes which result in bare knuckle fights. With one guy in particular proving to be really rather good.
The fights are shown in pretty much all their glory too, which i found surprising.

^Just watched that, you're right, it makes for very interesting viewing. Not sure about the sincerity of the main bloke, though, all that 'I want out' talk yet he seemed OK with his clan mixing it up, thus perpetuating future brawlage. Just can't get my head around the logic of it all, it's a little bit scary to find reasons to feud, especially when they're all related, innit?
Loved Big Joe Joyce and his dual, 4-stone weights seemingly cast of primitive metals, could deffo see him in a beat 'em up, probably in Metro City somewhere.

Watched Real Steel this week. I was more or less forced to watch it and had no inclination to see it but I was very pleasantly surprised. In fact I liked it so much its probably made it into my top 10 of the past 12 months. The relationship between Hugh Jackman and his son is what really makes it work. The fx and robot fights are the most exciting sports moments I have seen since Rocky 4 back in the day. Yeah its a corny hollywood film but its done so well it makes you wonder why so many hollywood films cant get this kind of entertaining formula right.
I also watched Abduction with the Twilight werewolf bloke in it. Again, not one I had near the top of my must see list but it was entertaining enough in a bad film kind of way. Its like a Bourne for teenagers kind of thing. Good supporting cast of Jason Isaacs, Sigorney Weaver and Alfred Molina gave it more class than it deserved but they also made it tick along quite well.
Today seeing as its Friday the 13th I have put all five Final Destinations on back to back. I love the way the deaths get gradually more nasty and flamboyant in each film. The sunbed burnout in number 3 makes me laugh every single time

Predators - Starting to come round to the idea that this is a decent flick. Brody in particular does a cracking job of playing a military tough guy.
Fast & Furious - Not really my type of film but as an action flicks go I thought it was pretty good. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson worked really well opposite Vin Diesel.
Also watched *takes deep breath* The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Surprisingly good film. The actor they had playing Robert Ford did a cracking job of conveying the creepiness and admiration of Jesse James.
