    21 Jump Street
It was quite fun, not a film I'd rewatched again and again but very entertaining and the star really is suprisingly Channing Tatum.

    Being Human
Not as strong a series as the previous one due to the heavy shake up but fun and glad to see the BBC has Insto-Renewed it for a Series 5

Went to watch the Hunger Games the other day. Didn't really know what to expect, had only seen it described as "the new twilight".

What it meant be "the new twilight" is that it's based on a book.
That's about as far as it goes.

Unlike twilight, I actually really enjoyed this film.

I'm starting to feel like an old fogey, but it's kind of violent for a 12a! Not graphically, but thematically.

The Mechanic - the new one with Jason Statham. Thought it was decent enough, however the plot and character motivations etc were rubbish. It hardly made any sense but the action stuff was quite good which redeemed it enough. Statham, as always, pretty much delivers what you expect from him.

I kicked off my "Lovefilm Danny Dyer Challenge" last night, endured Devil's Playground.

London. Bad medication. People turn into fast-moving 'rage zombies'. London becomes derelict, deserted, desolate and full of silence juxtaposed against angry zombie rage zombies raging. And you start to get all pissed-off by how unorig...

...yet these do PARKOUR. Often in slo-mo. And this is the most rubbishest parkour yet seen, and all the rage-zombies in this are under 40 ('cos they're still supple enough to do parkour when they're not playing parkourific rage-zombies).

That should be 1000% bulletproof entertainment. It's not. Danny Dyer isn't even Danny Dyer in this, he's aiming for a BAFTA, attempting to act, he's entirely marginalised throughout the entire movie and his character is just not consequential at all. This is NOT Danny Dyer, though he ironically actually DIES in this, he's quite certainly a die-er(!)

There's even a bit where Craig Fairbrass (as a morally-confused 'fixer' for the evil drug company) roughs a couple up , finds himself staring problematically at himself in a bathtoom mirror, literally and obviously with blood on his hands.

I think Craig Fairbrass is ripe for an awesome British action movie, he's the British Seagal. But cacky n' scabby.

Uck (this film, not Fairbrass). I still like Danny Dyer, mind, and teh 'challenge' is still on.

Is this the same Danny Dyer who does those 'dangerous geezers' TV shows? I saw a bit of one the other day and it reminded me of something from years ago. Dunno what to make of him... He seems, I dunno...

^"dunno" is correct. He's like a "geezah", media-wise. He's loved by few but hated by many. He's actually a decent presence when he's doing his jazz. Mark Kermode f*cking hates the bloke, he thinks he gets major XP for being a major knobster about the bloke, backfirey style.

You know how one likes chives, herbs & stuff? Danny Dyer falls into that category. Not everyone likes basil, and can you blame them? It just happens.

I probably wouldn't mind seeing him in a film, just in a tv show playing himself, he seemed a bit turned on or something by the dangerous blokes and was seemingly overdoing everything, every gesture, every word spoken. Maybe it was the producers' fault. Only saw 15 minutes but it reminded me a bit of Donal MacIntyre (had to google the name), in a weird way, in that he exaggerated everything.

Danny Dyer has been in a couple of good horror comedies. Severance was fun and Doghouse is fantastic.

Watched the 2004 TV version of Salems Lot this week. I enjoyed it but think the vampire Mr Barlow was much scarier in the 70s version. I still get chils about his first appearance in that version in the kids kitchen.

Been on a david lynch marathon this last week.

Watched blue velvet which i thought was amazing, and i'm onto twin peaks now.

                              Then onto lost highway.

Lost Highway is great! I would completely understand someone not liking it, but it ticked all the right 'bizarre / weird' boxes for me.
