Can't be the only one who thinks this is a terrible idea. Disney are more than capable of creating child friendly abortions of nature far worse than anything spewed up by episode 1 or the holiday special. Half expecting to see cameos from kermit and miss piggy as well!

Like every movie produced under their Touchstone label? There is no reason to believe they will make them under the Disney banner. Doing so would definitely alienate a lot of fans. They are very specific about which of their studios they release movies under. A good example of this is The Nightmare Before Christmas. At its original release, it was deemed very un-Disney, and labeled as a Touchstone movie. After it's popularity grew as a family friendly christmas movie, Disney started releasing it as a Disney movie in 2006. I expect all Star Wars production to remain under LucasArts, and have the same level of maturity as the original trilogy.

Also, Tron Legacy was Disney branded and tonally on a level with Star Wars. With way fewer Muppets.

If Disney give the new SW trilogy the same attention, and make a diamond in the rough, personally ill be quite happy, but thats just me. I think the entire rest of the world will be expecting the moon on a stick topped off with a deathstar

As I said earlier, Lucas did not have 100% control over the original Star Wars.
The man himself has probably changed a lot since then too. He once said 'a special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing
Do you watch the utter w*nk that gets released these days? AoD was awesome, funnier than ED2 but just not as dark.
Can't believe there's so much love for Tron Legacy. That film was proper ****. CGI Jeff Bridges? Please.
Star Wars is dead to me anyway in terms of new releases so I don't really care too much about this. I'll always have the two-suns shot on TattooineLast edited by Team Andromeda; 07-11-2012, 15:24.
