I just bought the new Metallica album on a whim, only £8.99 delivered from HMV online. I keep listening to the mp3's so I figure I should give them some money. Will be nice to listen to the "OMG ITS COMPRESSED" CD on my system too.

Currently listening to Ill Bill's The Hour of Reprisal. Holy crap, that's one excellent hip hop album. Who says the white kids can't bring it? Features the bloke from Killswitch Engage, Raekwon of Wu-Tang, La Coka Nostra, Vinnie Paz from Jedi Mind Tricks and more.

One of the albums of the year for me.

Been listening to a lot of The Con by Tegan and Sara lately. It's awesome, though I wish the songs were a bit longer. Call It Off is the best song on the album.

MC Frontalot's new album is out in November but by pre ordering the CD on his site, you can download the whole album right now. Grabbed it a short while ago.

Listening to the new Kings Of Leon album, which is pretty excellent, and Bulletproof Wallets by Ghostface.

Luna by The Aliens. It's awesome. Loved The Beta Band, and am chuffed they've all moved on to equally great things since the split.

Also listening to Ladyhawke, and a bit of Sahib Shihab and the Danish Radio Jazz Group. Insanely precise jazz with a splash of big band oomph, which everyone loves of course.

Listening to the new Kings Of Leon album, which is pretty excellent...

It's half a kick ass record, half filler, I think. Just like the previous album. From about track 6 onwards it gets a bit too samey for me.

They are turning into a brilliant singles band, though. A few years down the line when they release a Greatest Hits/Best of, it's gonna be an awesome album to get drunk to at parties.

Mate, get 'Return to Cookie Mountain'. The new album is great, too but RTCM is their best, IMO.

Tread carefully with the first record thought ('Desperate Youth Bloodthirsty Babes'), it's very hit and miss.
