Anyway, as for what I'm listening to:

Listen to music from inphanta’s library (354,910 tracks played). inphanta’s top artists: Korea Undok Group, AsTr0, Styrofoam. Get your own music profile at Last.fm, the world’s largest social music platform.

And if you listen to a lot of music via your PC (as I do nowadays), I recommend setting up a last.fm account. It's a great way of cataloguing your tastes, creating an online library and discovering new stuff.

Nobody with a last.fm need ever utter those dreaded and completely untrue words "there's no good music out there any more".

The last track on the new Snow Patrol album, which is really three songs in one, is a bit special. Can't stop playing it. The rest of the album is a bit dull, though. Even by Snow Patrol standards.

Been listening to the new one from The Cure as well. It's been getting some good reviews, even been hailed as a return to form, but I'm not overly impressed. I prefer their more moody, doom mongering songs about getting old and stuff and this is surprisingly chirpy and upbeat considering they all must be about 50 now. It's pleasant enough in a jingly jangly way but there is nothing that really stands out. Sounds like a collection of b-sides to me.

Thanks for the tip. I picked this up yesterday and it's brilliant.

Journey's Tron theme is stuck in my head, im hung over and cant dislodge it, i think its my theme for the day, totally rocked.

I'd be rude not to share it

Right now, I'm listening to Robert Wyatt's Comicopera album. I don't think I like Robert Wyatt. I'm not sure what he's doing. I don't really get it. And yet... I find myself compelled to go back to his albums and listen to them. I don't know why.

What's the Ghostface album like Seany? Looked at it a couple of times but not picked it up..

its good, some great tracks on there even though it kinda flopped.

real cheap now so you should get it

its got one of my fave tracks on there actually

The retail version of Bulletproof Wallets is pretty poor compared to the promo though, a lot of the best tracks either got cut due to sample clearence issues or reworked with new beats.

The promo had stuff like The Watch, Good Times, The Sun, a better version of Flowers and different lyrics to The Forest. For me It'd be up there with Supreme Clientele as my favourite Ghost album if it was the complete version. Luckily you can find most of those missing tracks online though.

truth, but its worth it for walking through the darkness and ghost showers.

I'm getting drunk and listening to death magnetic but I shall no doubt put some ghostface on later. perhaps that album.

Today, I've been listening to Missiles by The Dears. Holy crap, it's excellent. I got introduced to them with No Cities Left and I enjoyed that though much of it (to me) sounded like the main vocalist was trying a bit too hard to do a Morrissey impression. It was interesting and I enjoyed it though.

Their next album underwhelmed me. It was fine. Nothing wrong with it. Just a bit bland.

And now here they are with this, which is entirely different. It's understated, full of minor chords, has gained its own identity and, best of all, some of the arrangements are really, really interesting. Especially the use of the synth bass. I'm loving it.

I've had Tom Waits - Rain Dogs on all morning. I need to get some more of his albums, I listen to this and Swordfishtrombones far too much.

                                The Knife - Silent Shout.

I dismissed this when I first got it as not being my sort of thing. But I've had it in my cd player a lot over the last few days and it's really grown on me. 'Marble House' is gorgeous.
