I have no idea what synths the guy uses but there is a sound in a couple of his tracks that sounds like the GB sound chip.

Here's a YouTube sample. This one features a rapper, the rest of his stuff doesn't -

Great discovery - thanks for the heads up!

Ever wondered what Bloc Party's new direction would sound like if it was any good? Wonder no more, here's VETO from Denmark:

This band deserves to be a hell of a lot more popular than it is now...

I guess it's classed as a soundtrack, but I'm listening to the "MSX FM" track from GTA III. Still love it. Liberty City's finest!

I adored the MSX radio station in GTAIII. Driving at full pelt on a misty night listening to Omni Trio's First Contact just totally defined that game for me.

Been listening to some William Burroughs, mainly his spoken word stuff but also some of the bands that have sampled this stuff and stuck music with it.
DISPOSABLE HEROES OF HIPHOPRISY - 'WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE'

KURT COBAIN 'THE PRIEST, THEY CALLED HIM'

THE DOORS - 'IS EVERYBODY IN'

                'THANKSGIVING PRAYER'

Listening to the new Placebo album, Battle For the Sun. As much as I like it, For What It's Worth is probably one of the worst songs on the album and a strange choice for their first single.

My brother and I went halfs on the ridiculously expensive special edition version complete with DVD's and Vinyls. As such we avoided listening to any prerelease version, official or otherwise until the boxset arrived, which it did yesterday. Enjoying it more than I did when I first heard Meds which I love now, and can feel this one growing on me more already.

The Angkor Wat DVD which came with it also makes interesting viewing, a different take on some of the Meds songs and a few others.

Wilco - Kicking Television and Broken Social Scene - ST, so far this evening.

Kicking Television is a stunning live album, plenty of the tracks sound better live than on record. 'The Late Greats' especially, is pretty awesome live, yet I always thought it was the only real turd on A Ghost is Born.

I also finally picked up a copy of J Dilla - the Shining, but I'm saving that for later tonight.

I think I'll get this album. It's a shame that I can't see them ever topping the first two albums.

Freeland - Cope. My top album of the year so far, and knowing how good Adam Freeland is, probably for the rest of the year too.

                                Under Control is pure class:
