A friend has asked me to sort out his laptop as he's having problems. From what he was describing it sounded like virus activity so I've just stuck a decent antivirus on there and left it to run.

All i can hear from the other room is a pretty continuous `bleep` `bleep` `bleep` `bleep` as its racking up the detections.

I'm afraid to go and see what the tally is so far

Spatial i feel what you are saying, my anti virus software was pinging like no bodies business when i got hit a couple of months back........... SUCH a waste of precious time.......

Got a picture text msg this morning from a friend who works at a vets.
An 8 wk old black kitten found in a carpark being kicked around by pissheads.
Kittens got breathing problems & may have brain damage.

F*ckers! If theres 1 thing I hate & makes me rage inside its ppl abusing animals. If they want to fight among themselves then fine, but dont take it out on something which they know cant fight back.
I swear if I'd seen this happening I'd have booted them around that carpark.

Totally agree, there are certain crimes where you think that the perpetrators must be really sick and complete ***** to even think about committing them. This is one of them. I've got four cats too, so it ratchets up the anger even more.

I've got a cat too & I absolutely adore cats so yeah it effects me more too, but I hate any abuse of animals.

Thinking about it now I dont know if I'd have been able to control myself if I'd seen it happening. I dont care how many had been there I'd have given them all a good kicking

Looks like it'll be a full on tactical strike with the orbital laser required to sort this one out - the thing is riddled with stuff. Final count was around 50 Trojans and around 200 pieces of Spyware.

Plus he's stupidly gone and installed one of those fake Anti-virus programs that's actually a really nasty piece of malware. That thing's messed XP up so bad that it doesn't know whether it's coming or going.

The stuff's so embedded in the registry and system files it's not worth the time and effort of try to save it all.
