Filling my shiny new 3gs with apps now.
Are there any upgrade focused driving games for the iphone? IE ones where you start with a rubbish car and gradually tune it and buy new cars. I don't mind if it's more Rock n roll racing than GT but I really like driving games with a big focus on purchasing upgrades.
Enjoying Rock Band more than I thought I wouldm shame there's only 4 or 5 tracks on it I like.
I heard Settlers is spoilt by crashing and save game deletion bugs. Why can't bluebyte do ports of their games? They always seem to be filled with bugs. I've heard civilisation is great though.

less than a week in and totally loving the phone, shame the battery doesn't last longer but think I'm using it a lot so can't moan that much.

The battery is definitely quick to drain but I can usually get a day of reasonably heavy usage out of it without needing a recharge, which is really all you need as long as you can charge it up at night.
I'm gonna be using it (eventually) for tracking where I take my photos on day long walks using Trails, so it'll be interesting to see how the battery holds up for that.
The iPhone is a superb device, really glad I bought one. I used to always have a laptop hanging around the living room for casual browsing, checking mail, etc., but the iPhone has replaced the laptop for just about everything like that.

Got some iTunes Vouchers for Christmas so purchased :
Rock Band which is very very good and I'd actually say it's better than the PSP version!
Hoggy which I enjoyed the demo of, but since I had "free money" I purchase dit anyway, it's fiendish and fun!
Peggle whereby I said goodbye to my iPhone as my wife comandeered it to play through Peggle for the third time (360, DS and now iPhone) and to be honest I think this is the definitive version of it, feels like it was designed for this platform!
N.O.V.A. again, because I had free money and everyone was raving about it. Very surprised, not just because of how it looks but because it runs at an incredible frame rate! Another game I think you need headphones for though as otherwise you are constantly covering the speakers!
Angry Birds 59p well spent!! What a fun silly game, stuck on a level in the second "world" though!
Labyrinth 2 what a game!! Well worth the money and a MASSIVE improvement on the original game!
Can't wait for Plants vs Zombies (was promised for this month) and gonna see if Peggle Nights is on there too!
Also got a free Alan Partridge episode thanks to the 12 days of Christmas free app!

I totally forgot about Bombardiers Guilld! Will buy that now to support Nijo, since I have free money!
EDIT: Not on sale any more then? £1.19 now?
EDIT 2: Went to buy it anyway and it went to 59p again, put password in and it then failed saying something about it currently being modified. Two things, if it's on sale then it needs to be advertised as such, losing potential sales otherwise...secondly, if it fails when you try and buy it, people (myself included) might forget about it when they visit the app store next, again, losing sales!Last edited by Jebus; 27-12-2009, 12:25.

We're reworking the master levels at the moment, so the key for now is to work on your 'longest 9 shots' stat. That'll count towards the high scores in the January version.

The sale was set to run while it was in the "What's Hot" feature, which it no longer is (in America). So the price was changed back to ?1.19, but somehow it both has and hasn't updated in iTunes, depending on where you look, due to Apple taking some stuff offline over Christmas.
Basically it's b0rked, and probably nobody could buy it over the last few days. I can't check the sales numbers (because that's b0rked too) but I guess they're close to zero.
