As an aside, do you know when The Vision statue is planned to be released? I've seen it alongside the Scarlet Witch statue, but not come across any details of it.

I have just sold my Hot Toys Captain America & might have sold the MkIV Iron Man armour

Decided I don't want to do Avengers anymore...easier to not bother as there will always be new figures thanks to the constant stream of movies & variations between each that it means it's just a pointless & expensive habit.

I'm just sticking to the Batman lines now & I'll be done with them once the Joker 2.0 & Dark Knight Rises Batman arrive
I had been contemplating buying the Hot Toys Sweeney Todd to go with my Jack Sparrow as a kind of Johnny Depp display.

I am now deciding what to do...I could use the cash for some more Transformers or I have been really really tempted with getting into the Star Wars Mythos statues, but I can see that getting really expensive much like the DC PF stuff.

Anyway whatever I do I'll sit on the money for a bit while I decide

I just thinkt hey both looks pretty meh. Actually SW looks good but i think her face is way off, the AH Comiquette was much sexier and cooler imo.

Vision i just hate his stupid rage face, the awkwardness of his stance and his claw like fingers, not exactly the calm robot as portrayed in the comics.

Hi chaps, not really into collecting figures but that Arthas statue on the Sideshow (damn this thread) website is rather interesting. What's the best way if I was thinking of pre-ordering it, i.e. order from Sideshow directly, or somewhere else. Also what would shipping roughly be?

It depends really.

Direct from Sideshow would be fine (my Joker came from them recently & they are awesome)
Shipping is $25 to the UK via Fedex
You will however get caught & have to pay customs on that plus Fedex fee for clearing through Customs.
All in you'd be looking at - statue @ $350 + Shipping @ $25 = ?242 (ish) x 20% VAT = ?290 + ?10 Fedex fee = ?300 all in (that's approximate based on r.o.e of $1.55 = ?1)

If you want though you can get it direct in the UK from someone like Collectiblesdirect.co.uk who are selling it for ?270 delivered & they will have covered all the VAT & fees themselves.

No problems you're welcome.

It's hard I know the easiest way to look at it if it's something you really want then go for it...it looks amazing from the pictures & you also will be making an investment...it's very, very rare that anything Sideshow makes ever depreciates & generally they all increase in value.
So in the long term I doubt you will be losing money & possibly even earn on it.

Only order from Sideshow if the Exclusive is a must or you don't think you'll be able to find it later, ordering from sideshow is a guarantee you will get one. If you only want the regular and don't need that guarantee try ebay or a UK seller.

My Joker was $25 & I'm assuming the same for Ivy & Batman

I would agree with Alex though Sideshow is only really best if you want an Exclusive as they are only available direct.
With standard statues best to go via UK seller / Site as it cuts out the possibility of VAT & extra charges.

Even something like the Batman Premium Format isn't really that important for the Exclusive.
Both the Reg & Ex come with switch out heads.
The Ex however gets an Exclusive hand holding a Batarang that you can swap for the right hand which is in a fist on the Reg.
I only went for the Ex as it's the same price & makes for a more attractive profit should I ever need to sell it.

Its Redking! The big dumb rock armadillo lol. Really large heavy piece this even bigger then MonsterArts Godzilla! He poses pretty well but its within the limits of the screen used suit i guess, still he looks great and comes with his traditional weapon a rock!
