          Yeah, the time has come.

I'd rooted it, deleted the bloatware and moved as many apps as possible but it's still saying the phone memory is full as soon as I opened the Web browser.

I'll do what you did and just use it as a portable emulator.

I wish they would make an Xperia Play 2. *sigh*

            Smile #1:

How close my flat is to the train station exit. It's across the road. And not even a big road, just a regular two-laner. And you don't even have to go diagonally. Just straight across the crossing. I can forgive the fact that I can hear the train announcements through the windows because Japan is quite the rainy little country. I lent my umbrella to someone today because it's absolutely pelting and thundering right now. Which leads me to...

            Smile #2:

Thunder in Japan sounds just like in the films. I don't know why but it does. Boomy, bassy.. Comparing it to UK thunder is like comparing Barry White's voice before and after kicking him in the nuts.

You are mad. Never been in a thunderstorm as epic as the ones I used to get in Glasgow. Hour long light shows with bolts hammering the city. Japan only ever gets a couple of cracks, its really lame.

You're obviously not in the right bit then. We used to get some epic shows in Chiba, with massive forks across the clouds. Made all the better by me being able to watch them through a transparent plastic umbrella.

You know what is cool about Japan? Those things by the doors of shops where you stick your umbrella in and pull it out, and it's covered with a plastic bag so it doesn't drip. That blew my mind when I visited.

Uniqlo stores* have a similar thing here but it doesn't work quite as well. Not sure why they couldn't ship the proper ones over.

*yes I'm so hardcore such a weeaboo I even buy my t-shirts from a Japanese company

I was actually trying to burst that bubble that says everything is better when it is in Japan, without being so blunt about it. I do believe thunder sounds the same the world over, although I'll tell you something, nobody does clouds like the UK. Not even Titan, the gaseous moon of Saturn that you probably were about to mention.

The rain is definitely wetter in Japan.
The cold is definitely colder in Canada.
This sentence is getting longer the more I type.

What? Most things are worse in Japan. Except the thunder. Today was bloody amazing. And a few weeks back we went walkies and it was right above us.

Maybe it sounds different because there are tons of buildings here and it echoes more.

France in a tent. Thunder ridiculously loud at night. "My god, that was the loudest clap of thunder I've ever heard" At which point Nature says "whatever, check THIS out" and unleashes a noise so much louder I was shocked to the core. It hurt my ears.

Oh wait, thread was already won by Saturn

It's not wet in Weston-Super-mare, I'm going there next week and just checked the weather.

Well, there's a thunderstorm due on Saturday, but I'll be on my way home, so it doesn't count.
