Something that I'm finding annoying about work is that somebody is coming to work with bad symptoms and insists it's fine because (they say) they've taken a lateral flow test and it has come back negative. I'm not convinced, purely on the basis that this person has a weird obsession with coming to work no matter what the circumstances, refused outright to work from home at any stage of this and instead comes here by long bus ride from another town (so more chance of exposure). Same person is also quite lax about mask wearing and repeatedly has to be told to keep their distance from people. I think it's doubtful they've taken a test and I think they'd come into work regardless of the results as they've always loudly said that they think this is a load of fuss about nothing. Same person used to come into work with bad flu symptoms and end up giving it to everyone because "I don't want to be at home on my own".
I have to go in once a week at the moment and every time I'm there they are coughing and sneezing all day in our office where the windows can't be opened due to building design. I have all my vaccinations and don't have any lung problems or anything like that, but I currently live with my retired parents most of the week and it terrifies me that I'm going to spread it to them.
