We deserved to lose. Just like the mancs, we played one level below 'ultra ****e' on the ****-o-meter. Again! Our luck doesn't get any better with only players we can turn to going off before the second half. Poopy poo poo bonanza! Lucas and Aquilani leading the poop parade down the channels to nothingness lol. Roll on our next game where Maxi will score an overhead own goal

Rafa, thinks actually kicking someones ankle is not an penalty. Maybe he should just have dived like Ngog.

If it is a penalty, as clear as you reckon, then more penalties should be given. Degen was caught slightly, fell over, didn't complain and STILL got a yellow card for diving.

Also, how does a block outside the area draw a free kick but the exact same thing in the area doesn't lead to a penalty? I'm of the opinion neither were fouls, but the ref gave a free kick for a block on Benayoun when earlier the same happened to another Liverpool player in the area.

Not gonna dress this up in any way at all, Liverpool were dire. With or without Torres and Gerrard they were ****. So that excuse is certainly wearing thin.

I'll say it again too, Babel is ****ing terrible. Bite the hands off of anybody who wants to pay £9mil for that piece of dog poop.

Babel was pretty useless, but for me, the most frustrating player to watch tonight was Carragher who played some mega hoof ball. Not one of his 60 long balls meant anything. Is this because the midfielders were hiding or does he reckon he can spray a beauty ball? Hit n hope is not how we should be playing.

I did very enjoy Degen tonight.

Babel wasn't awful. EVERYONE was awful. First touch and control really lacking. No vision and once they scored the equaliser half the team seemed to have given up the ghost.
Even worse is, when Gerrard went of at half time we played better at the start of the second half. Could be considered the worst game for us since Benitez took over.

Stoke game at the weekend on this form is a defeat, but we all know how different from game to game we can be. Though to be honest I can see a bad result at Stoke to add more embarrassment.

I think Degen showed a slight touch of the class he possesses. He was good all night, I thought, just a shame he was let down by everyone else. He was pretty much the only positive for me.

Again I thought Aquilani showed he can do whats needed with getting the ball and popping it about quickly. Whenever Liverpool looked dangerous in the first half a lot of it went through him. He is terribly lacking in fitness though, he pretty much disappeared after 60 minutes or so.

Wow, I was wrong, things can get worse.
I think we are taking Tyler Durden's words right to heart.
                "Hitting bottom isn't a weekend retreat. It's not a goddamn seminar ..."

Distribution from the back was terrible, we gave the ball away so often Cavalieri kept hitting long when he should play to Agger. Same for Carragher. Carragher let the ball go past him a couple of times too - shocking.

Degen and Insua were alright - I like Insua but he still gets a bit excited.
                Lucas - standard performance.
Aquilani - needs consistency. Good in parts but wasteful at others.
                Gerrard - poor
Kuyt - run rabbit, run rabbit, run run run. Sort your touch out again please - what is up?
Benayoun - much better in 2nd half.
N'Gog - offered himself, worked but no chances other than that rushed one.
Babel - quelle surprise. Crap on the left, now played on the right against Championship defenders - still crap. Awful in the air too (Cavalieri should have stopped lumping it though) and kept overhitting the passes he spotted.
Torres - hungry and then tired

                  I just don't get Babel.

Even if you don't think he has the best technique in the world, his size, power and pace should make him at the very least, a decent top flight footballer. You surely don't need to be that smart to work out how to use those gifts to your advantage in a game of football? It seems like every single decision he makes is the wrong one, every single one! He looks like he doesn't understand the basic premise of the game at times.

Can you imagine the brain of Benayoun in the body of Babel, he'd be a monster. The club's medical staff need to get on that.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Torres is out for six weeks, Benayoun out for three weeks and two weeks out for Gerrard.

With that injury list and Liverpool's current form, I'm actually gonna be disappointed if Spurs don't win next Wednesday. Never imagined I'd be thinking that this time last year!

Please God, just end this ****ing season. Without those three in the side we are going to create absolutely nothing in the final third. The Carragher hoof will now be our main/only tactic.

I was thinking the same thing this morning. And the trouble is that players will not be rested because of the World Cup...

It's not all bad news though folks, Babel has been dropped from the squad. Hopefully that means Maxi is fit enough to go straight in.
