Also, Maxi is quite a cool name.

I think he'll be a good signing for Liverpool, hopefully you won't be able to get it through before the Spurs game though

Didn't he score a rather tasty goal at the 2006 World Cup?

          Sure did!

            Loved that goal

Still amazes me that was his weaker foot

Babel is a good player but he is not a good footballer!

Seriously, he will probably do well elsewhere, he just isn't very bright and Rafa thought he could teach him. The common thread in interviews about Rafa is how much new stuff he gives to new players - stuff they have never had before. In a way, it is sink or swim, if you take that in - you will improve massively. All our top players have benefitted from his input massively and seen major steps in their games - every single member of our spine [Pepe to El Nino].
There is not a player we have who is *as good* as they were in their previous team/setup - they either improve or get worse. Keane failed cos he didn't listen, it is well known that Rafa was exasperated at his inability to play for the team and as instructed.
N'Gog is a better player (for us) than Babel is, he listens, he brings the team into play and floats around.

What I'm worried about is the fact I've seen both Babel and Riera being flirted/rumoured with being sold in the transfer window. We need at least one of them. Personally, I would keep Riera and hopefully get a good deal for Babel abroad.

Yossi can be rotated with whoever remains.

Funny enough, Liverpool have made an official request to postpone Sunday's game due to safety reasons.

Crap. No Johnson, no Mascherano, Torres and Gerrard not fully fit / out of form... Even with Lennon missing I'd much rather be playing you now than in a month or two when you've got players back, new signings, and Torres and Gerrard potentially firing on all cylinders.

Glad I didn't apply for a ticket to the match now though, what with all the snow shenanigans.

Dossena to Napoli transfer is done and confirmed on official site. So long fella. I'll always remember you for this

                        All the best at Napoli.

The Hicks Jr story just adds to the circus of big stinky poo. This has to be the worst dirty laundry in public PR for us ever.

Here's hoping that Hicks Sr., Gillette and the rest of 'em will follow suit and fück off out of the club.

Meh, all the recent examples of fans 'rising up' against the owners in the last few years have had pretty dire outcomes. The owners want/need to sell Liverpool, a fan base seen as hostile or a potential liability won't do wonders to attract good buyers/investors.

Smurfy, this is how people feel. It is not a business minded movement by the fans. The **** going on behind the scenes is shambolic - we are run like Newcastle! This is not disseminated in the wider press so people do think the fans are OTT or ridiculous but LFC (and Everton too) are very much community clubs, deeply embedded within the city's culture and identity. It DOES mean something. The fact is, the fans are deeply loyal but will not be treated contemptuously. If prospective buyers know the risk/reward nature of it, they will be informed. If they get it right, they will have a loyal, and willing, fanbase. H & G have not because they have lied and lied. As I expected them to, but not everyone did.
