The ref made lots of technically correct decisions but things that go either way tended to go Liverpool's way. However this is usually the case at Old Trafford too so it's a bit rich of Ferguson to complain about it.
Carragher should've really been sent off but refs have differing views on what the 'last man' actually is. There's been a few reds recently where someone was arguably not the last man so he probably had that.
Vidic should've been sent off. Two fairly straight forward yellows. I hate this attitude (that a lot of pundits and some refs have) that a second yellows should require worse challenges than what would get you a first yellow. A yellow card offence is a yellow card offence. There are certain players who benefit a lot from the reluctance to give a second yellow

Also, had Chelsea surrounded the ref as often as Man U did, we'd be called all sorts of names by the papers and the FA would investigate.
