It's incredible some of the pens they get at home, it was one of the worst dives I think I've ever seen.

Some refs might have let Gerrard off with a yellow, but he was beyond daft for launching himself in like that, after that the game was dead, before that I thought we had the better of the play - but at least everyone (bar Torres, what the **** is going on in this guys head?) put in a shift and kept it respectable.

Babel clattering Owen was quite amusing too.

Babel could be in a spot of trouble for Tweeting this pic. The FA have said they will be looking into it.

      He has since responded with...

'My apology if they take my posted pic seriously. This is just a emotional reaction after losing an important game... Sorry Howard Webb!'

      'Who's gonna visit me in #Twitjail ?'

Quick question: Did ITV show any trouble in the crowd during their coverage?

I hope Babel doesn't get treated any more harshly than Walcott, who has admitted cheating in a major professional match.

It's quite daft, but not entirely unamusing all the same - ditto Glen Johnson's dig at Sky's village idiot yesterday.

No crowd trouble shown on ITV at all.

            So, what happened?

Nothing too exciting, just a few seats and what have you being thrown about by the knuckle heads, standard issue stuff.
Someone said they saw it on the TV, must've been Sky Sports News then.

In other news: Steve Clarke coming in as first team coach apparently.

It was not a dive. Watch the contact with Berbatovs left foot which then knocks it ever so slightly sideways causing him to land on it at an awkward angle.

Could he have stayed up? Perhaps he could with a stumble but the chances are he would have lost the ball. Foul. ( I was calling dive when I first saw it mind!)

Apart from that Liverpool looked far more organised. Pity Gerrard was so reckless. There seems to be a little more spirit about the place.

Yeah...it's a dive, and not a very good one.

lol, it did look pretty embarrassing at the time in the ground, it's a bit better in slow motion but it is still delayed reaction-tastic. I genuinely expected him to get booked.

To be honest, the foul on Walcott was far more deserving of a penalty than Berbatov's dive... Walcott was pulled back to a degree.

Glad that Hodgson has gone and very pleased with the first performance. Its always hard losing to United but the penalty was a poor decision so it was always an uphill struggle. Gerrard was a little unlucky but I can see why he was sent off. Overall positive hopefully a result at Everton will get us moving in the right direction.

Hope that we never see Konchesky in a liverpool shirt again.

Call it what you like. It was still a foul. After the contact with his left foot and the way it hit the floor at a funny angle, what is the expression everyone uses now?

'He had every right to go down'.

Expecting to lose to Blackpool in mid-week then?
