      Pique back to Barca!

Also, that was a good interview, cheers for the link, read it the other day.

Heard from the brother in law who had a great time though didn't get to see much of Moscow, from the airport it was to the hotel where they had refreshments laid on, then to the match & back home.

He was back in work Friday and they all had a champagne breakfast courtesy of United, Sir Alex attended and made a speech, saying that the clubs success isnt just down to the players but everyone involved at the club etc.

Nice touch I thought considering Sir Alex himself must have been shattered.

Yeah, the interview was interesting. Sir Alex said in the interview that he plans to retire within three years. It'll be a sad day when that happens as he is a legend. Sir Alex also gives an insight into his fall out with Van Nistelrooy in the interview which is also pretty interesting.

I'm sad to see Pique go. I thought the lad did well whenever he played even if he didn't really get a good run in the side. Mind you, with Ferdinand and Vidic playing so well that's not surprising.

Real madrid coach still reckons they will sign Ronaldo , i cant wait for the window to shut to stop all this nonsense, those spainish idiots cannot afford him anyway. its getting on my nerves now.

Try having to report on it all the time! Got a good few months before the end of the transfer window so you'll have to get used to this rubbish. You must, however, realise that most of these stories originate from Marca. They are notoriously biased towards Real Madrid and will do anything to help increase publicity for their bid to sign Ronaldo. Every time they interview one of Madrid's players, their first question is always about Ronaldo.

                United Getting Pissed at Madrid

Good. Clubs aren't meant to do that. Madrid are acting like little ****s.

Yeh, it's almost bullying. Just keep pressuring someone until they give in, it's not right. Man Utd should have just reported them and not even given a warning.

Depends how much of it is Real Madrid themselves and how much is press talk.

So long as Real haven't approached Ronaldo or his agent without first notifying Man U, there's not much they've done wrong. It's possible that they've done a warning because there's been no approach to him.

I suppose at the end of the day if Ronaldo really wants away it will happen, but as far as we all know, he has said he is happy at Man Utd many many times ,and why would he leave a team moving towards one of the greatest teams of our generation to a worse team , which Real madrid certainly are , so unless utd want to sell him, he wont go.

It's only "moving towards one of the greatest teams of our generation" because of Ronaldo - take him out, and it's no where near as impressive.

There are a lot of teams that are close to UTD in terms of skill and Ronaldo moving to them would definately give them the edge, and then some.

Dont agree with that at all, many big players have come and gone, and it all still ticks along, take ronaldo out and yes we miss something, but the team is moving towards greatness with or without him, if he went do you not think someone else high profile would come in, thats a certainty that they would. but its all not relevant because he will be there for a while yet.

Many big players have gone from Man U in the past and it's been a season (or more) before they were replaced and they've clearly suffered as a result (Cantona, Beckham, Keane and Nistleroy(sp?) were all noticeably missed) .

Given how tight this season was and the performance of Man U when Ronaldo wasn't playing, I think they would have struggled big time to keep pace with Chelsea and Arsenal (easy to forget how Arsenal looked set to win until they did their usual of throwing away every competition in the space of 2 weeks).

Ronaldo is surrounded by brilliant players. Definitely not a one-man team. Look at the signings last summer - Nani, Anderson and Hargreaves. All have been brilliant this season, and the youngsters will get better and better.

Ronaldo has been the clear stand-out this season, but then all top 4 team s have had one, at a push two, players who have kept them at the top of the pile.

Where would Liverpool have been without Torres this season for example?
