The Birmingham - liverpool game could very well be the worst game of football this season. Boring and lacking in any real flair from either side, especially the second half.

It's interesting to see that Arsenal have had someone sent off from the opposition in 3 of their 4 games so far this season. And I say that as a gooner myself. Maybe all the broken legs we've suffered are starting to affect referees. Just interesting is all.

The extra scandal is this extra game lark for 'frivolous' appeals.

It's swung so far the other way, it's like the FA is a tyranny that won't dare be challenged. There's just no genuinely fair recourse available. I can understand them wanted to avoid timewasters, but there's an easy way round this.

Give each team maybe 3 appeals to have fairly and justly heard every season, with a good chance of overturning wank decisions (instead of closing ranks and kicking clubs in the bollocks with the extra game punishment). Use an external independent review panel if necessary. Clubs will have to use these appeals wisely, and only appeal when they feel they have a good chance of having a decision overturned. Timewasters will soon run out of appeals, and clubs will have a better chance of a decent decision going their way for once.

We didn't get the extra game, meaning it WASN'T frivolous...so why wasn't it rescinded?

The system is broken, there's no point appealing, refs are backed up no matter when they **** up, no matter how much damage they do.

With all due respect to Arsenal, they've broken more of our legs than we have theirs.
