I don't want to tempt fate, but I would jump for joy if we sold Crouch, especially for that much money.

Apparently this Chu Young fellow will be exempted from his military service if South Korea's football team win a medal in the 2012 Olympics. He will be one of their three overage players.

If you simply asked me "Do you want to sell Crouch?" I'd probably say no, he's a useful option to have at the club.

However, once you change that question to "Do you want to sell the almost thirty-one year old Crouch for ?11 million?".... it's hand biting time

Plus I'd assume that most of the time we'll be playing one up front, Adebayor, with Rafa VdV just behind. I don't think we need three senior strikers in reserve if that's the plan. Two from Defoe, Pav and Crouch + young Harry Kane would be fine.

I'm glad ChunkMag didn't leave it until the last minute before trying to get a striker and a left sided player.

What's more worrying is that he wouldn't have gone for anyone if the window had shut before the season started. He was saying before the first game how he was satisfied with his options. We would have been stuck with what we had. It's only after the first four games of the season that he's realised what every sensible SAFC fan has known for months - we need balance and goals. His ineptitude is quite astonishing.

Looks like some other sucker can overpay for Cahill or Bolton can lose him for nowt next year! It's quite funny, really. Bolton's going to the press was clearly an attempt to embarrass Arsenal into upping their offer because clearly they feel they need to get rid of Cahill, but instead they've just killed the deal dead and now they're stuck with him.
