I think this has already been reported, but Edge also gave the game 7/10.

The review can be found here: http://www.edge-online.co.uk/archive...ew_perfect.php

    Haven't read it myself yet.

"the ridiculously forgiving Agent difficulty level"

"The surprising thing that hits you almost immediately about PDZ is its steep learning curve and unrelenting desire to finish you off as quickly as possible"

"And, yet, after all this, the game is constantly hand-holding the player by laying down path chevrons to guide you directly to where you should be heading next"

      "there's no automatic reload, annoyingly"

"What you don?t realise in the initial stages is that none of PDZ's levels are all that big, or take that long to finish"

WHAT THE HELL WAS EUROGAMER ON ABOUT?

Bugger this .. I just can't be bothered getting CoD2.. no matter how much I swing towards it, there is something that keeps calling me to buy PDZ instead. It's as though the reviews that rate it high 'get it' .. they're in on something those that rate it lower just fail to appreciate, maybe through old age... but something.

Surely PDZ has far better replay and m/play value than CoD2 ( which looks beautiful .. and no doubt plays great in single player ) ..

        PDZ & PGR3 it is .. <sigh> .. enough is enough.

PDZ has online co-op, in my eyes, that is enough to warrant buying it.

            Hmmm...

Agent Level is easy mode. What do they expect?

I'm playing on Secret Agent, and I've done the first four levels. I've died three times. If anything, it's really forgiving.

Turn the waypoints off in the game menu. Jesus!

No automatic reload? There is, you just have to stop firing. If you don't it will click on an empty chamber until you let go of the trigger, then it will reload.

The levels are pretty big, IMO. Especially on first run through and with the waypoints off. They reward exploration and there are a number of locked doors which I imagine will be open on Perfect Agent and Dark Agent mode. Jesus, if he only played it on Agent mode, no wonder he thought the levels were small. I've been through a number of air vents and short cuts so far. The levels are pretty varied.

ANyhoo, it's very good so far. Much better than a lot of reviews are saying. Don't believe the nay sayers. And it looks gorgeous. The sense of scale is quite breathtaking in a number of places.

              Yes, yes it does.

Does the PAL LE come in a metal tin like the NTSC version?

It certainly does. And nice and heavy it is too.

So, Mr Fallows. The question I want to ask is:

                      "Does it meet you expectations?"

Done the second mission on coop...i like. Don't base your opinions on the first level, which is pretty weak. Second level is great fun.

This is torturing me. I loved PD so much, but can't get a 360 untill I'm back in Norwich.

It's weak until you get outside. I still think the sense of scale and detail on the rocket is one of the most impressive things I have ever seen.

Thats good to hear because I turned it off after the first level somewhat disappointed.

It felt really sluggish to me.
