I think I've hit a bug. There's a known glitch where
saving in the sky cannon room under Renado's hut in Kakariko Village traps you in the room
, but I think I've found another.
Basically,
I'm stuck at the section just before the cannon room. That is, I've collected all the sky letters (and rechecked about 7 or 8 times now to make sure I'm not going mad), returned to Renado's hut to speak to Shad underground, he read from the book, which altered the statue, but he WILL NOT leave the room, allowing me to use the Dominion Rod on the statue to pull it out of the wall (thus revealing the cannon room). I think I may have saved just prior to moving the statue, and now I'm stuck because Shad won't go away. Every time I speak to him, he just says "I thought it was in the book" or something. I've even checked every single TP FAQ on gamefaqs out of sheer desperation, and between collecting the sky letters and opening the room, they all say the same thing; Shad tries the book, fails and leaves the room - and it is this which isn't happening for me.
Can anyone confirm there isn't some minor thing I've forgotten to do before I sell this game on? (I REFUSE to start again from scratch). Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be scuppered by a potentially show-stopping bug in a Nintendo game...Last edited by Ady; 03-04-2007, 12:03.

Ady - any saving in the Cannon room is bound to be cause for concern.
It's not really a natural point to save at anyway - but I can understand your frustration.
I'm trying to get 7th hidden skill before tackling the final dundgeon. Have completed the Cave of Ordeals which was good fun... you really need the 6th hidden skill to beat the final floor.....

I apologise for barging in this thread but just how long does Twilight Princess take to finish? I'm not worried about being a completionist and go off to collect every heart piece or any other optional items side quests; I just want to enjoy the adventure from the opening sequence to the credits.
I'm not a very big fan of Zelda - I haven't enjoyed the 3D outings quite as much as the enchanting LTTP - but with the severe lack of Wii games at the moment and my Xbox 360 being sent off to the repair centre, I'm in the mood to start a long-ish quest.
Thanks to whoever helps.
I wonder if Ady has moved on from the glitch issue too.
