Does anyone know the filesize of HL2? I'm trying to preload it... but if it's going to take longer than 11 days to download it probably won't be worth it

I set mine pre-loading one evening at around midnight. It was literally just finishing (99%) when I checked it again the next morning at 7:45am.

So you have plenty of time!

Yay, phase 7 is starting.

Source SDK tools are out, which probably means the ful l SDK isn't too far behind which also means more maps and stuff for CS: Source(bring back cs_assault_nod dammit) and HL2. It's getting closer.

You can't felix. You will be able to get it after registering your retail version on Steam.

I woke up this morning with a thought about HL2 ( obsessing ? Me ? )

As they're using Steam to authorise all copies, if retailers sold the game early, would Valve still be able to stop people playing the game until the 16th ? ie:- having it on your hard drive but unable to authenticate and play it until the release date ( like those who downloaded it off Steam at the moment ).

Its supposed to be released on the 16th, as long as it does, who cares?
