You lose skills due to the transmigration type - you must transmigrate at genius level and you lose minimal skill. Dont transmigrate with skills you havejust about learnt - get them up a few levels and you keep them at genius level. The way to insane power in this game is Cave Of Ordeals III and transmigration, lots of it!

You can make any character class do just about anything.

I suppose it is easy enough to bring the correct mage out on that level after checking. I'd already been doing that which was why I decided that the Green Mage was not that brilliant.

I had already learned the trick of standing near mages to learn things. I never got to the next level to keep them though. Something else to do. This game makes a serious dent in your life doesn't it!

Giga level fire is impressive enough. What does Tera look like!

Those are from the Item God on lvl 100 of a legendary item right? I still need to do this, it's one of the only things I haven't completed yet. It's something I might attempt once I've finished La Pucelle off.

It's well worth doing so you can just sit back and say.....

The way I did it was:

Excalibur, then stole Legendary Excalibur, that was levelled up to get -
Cosmic Blade > Levelled till Legendary Cosmic Blade haev been stoled.
Legendary Cosmic Blade > level 100 - stole Legendary Yo****suna from final boss.

The Space Time Engine is insane - the character no longer walks, he just appears somewhere. You just select any square on the grid and appear there instantly!

If you do the 100 floors of a Yo****suna you get another one! This sword has truly ridiculous attack power and the same range as a gun.

To get the Uber Prinny Baal items I used a bit of skank :P
Every time you fight Uber Prinny Baal he has this and the ultimate monster weapon equipped. I had a Space Pirate or whatever is the highest thief class @ lv 4000ish - I got prepared for the fight with bandit hands in stock then saved.

I kept restarting the fight until I got an invincibility square after geo changing. Once I have this square I used the theif to steal Uber Prinny Baal's weapon and armour then killed him by standing Laharl in an invincible square and support characters on other invincible squares casting Braveheart. I did this so every one of my character that could have them - had Baal's items.

How long have you been playing to level up that far?

I need to know how long to put my life on hold for!

It takes about 20 minutes to reach level 1000 *Cave of ordeals 3 + high level sword + 300statistision + maxed enemy difficulty* to make a REALLY sick character once you've done all the background work (getting the residents needed, good items, unlock stage etc) doesnt take that long. It's fastest to use Winged Slayer on this stage to gain levels, when you get the sick weapons and power them up use the council to increase enemy level so you gain even more. You can go from level 1 to over level 100 in 1 attack.

The thing with this game is that it *demands* you to play it. Other long games allow you to have a dabble for a few hours here and there then finish them eventually - not Disgaea, the game takes over your life!

Out of interest, Saur, did you get any of your characters to their ultimate transmigration level?

I didnt man - all I was doing was repeatedly transmigrating at lv1000 and putting all stat boost bonus onto attack. The way it worked was that by the time I got to say lv600, my attack would be around the same as it was when I was at lv1000 b4 transmigration - I kept repeating that.

I picked this up today (second hand from GAME, ?20!), played it for an hour and it is a MASH UP. Its enough to stop me playing Xenosaga.

Some of us mere mortals are still only in the early stages.

I used the stack up on that last part of Chapter 3 and my Ble and Green Mages are Level 12. On two goes I got a Level one Star Mage up to Level 14. I just stack 'em up nearly finish them off with mega fire and my big hitting Archer. When there are a smallish number of HP left I bring in the character I want the experience to go to. Works a treat.

I really ought to try a Transmigration just to see what it does, after saving first of course so I can pick someone else if it is not an unqualifed success.

I discovered my Legendary Slippers gave me an extra square of movement. The Star Mage is currently using them. I should be at 50 hours before the day is out and will still not have much to show for my efforts other than a lot of characters!
