That stupid Camper Van thing is really getting to me (more?). I just don't have the patience. After about half a dozen futile attempts I find it safest to switch the game off for a while to cool down.

I know there are more talented console drivers out there who find this challenge to be easy, I do not class myself in that category. The genius that decided to only award free use of the Top Gear track for a Gold must be in the former category. I do find it frustrating after paying good money for a game that I cannot use everything that is in there freely or at least with an amount of effort commensurate with my ability.

Currently getting the money back I spent on it, racing an F40, around the Extreme European Rome event track. Does an F40 really have gearing such that second gear is good for 120 mph and top gear (of 5) set for a somewhat ludicrous 279 mph?

The disclaimer at start up maybe covers it... "Cars included in the game may be different from the actual cars in shapes, colours and performance",

Or you go to License and skip to the next one. Skip 5 tests and... you know...

Nothing worse than spending 150k on something and it topping out at 111mph and not going any faster no matter what you do T_T

i am in desperate need of money. any tips or cheats for getting rich in no time?

I did post a link to a guide on GTP saying the amount of money various races paid and how long they took to complete. Unfortunately you are likely going to have to do some "grinding" to get some money together. I raced the Extreme European Rome race over 100 times to get up to about 8 million though I did buy cars along the way to tune and use in said event. Ended up wiht a fair few decent motors as a result. Just buying and using new cars seemed to make it bearable.

What level are you? What are you trying to save up for?

I knew you could enter a race/championship and then quit, but the loading times are so bad you may as well just do the race and earn some money and experience! Now I'm in a cycle of dealership grinding for a Formula GT, as well as level and money grinding, just to add to the 'fun'...

So if you skip 5 tests all 30 cars will be new? What are the loading times like for that...?

I'm sure its the fastest way. Licenses do not load as long as some championship races do.

I noticed something with my second B spec driver (Lv6 compared to my first Lv 12). Exp gained on a second driver is also added to your first driver. Also I can enter my Lv 6 driver into any race my Lv 12 driver is eligible for. Was trying to do some fast levelling with him, but he was not fast enough. Seems like you can use cars that are higher than his Lv 6 as well.

i am level 17 now and my account is no more above 200k since i tend to tune a lot before racing. i would love to buy the orange Audi TT twin turbo or the RUF CTR and further tune them to Les Mans killer machines... just for instance.

the amount of money i get for selling a fully tuned street cars is a bad joke. even worse is that it's not possible to sell parts. options-wise this game is so much behind Forza 3 it's unbelievable...

i stopped doing licenses as i don't see what i gain from them. race entry seems to depend solely on my driver level. or am i missing something?

I'm sure licenses grant you access to higher level races i.e Expert. No?

I have done an Endurance Race without having my S License, similarly I have done Extreme Races as well.

I have 3 tests outstanding on my S. I just gave up on S-8 as the Ferrari I need to pass for a bronze is so much faster than the Alfa 8C they let you use. I got by it once, only to be quickly re-past and watch it go off into the distance! At that point I abandoned it. That is the first time I have not completed all the licenses in a GT game. In the good old days the S License was all about fast laps. Now it concentrates on overtaking... argh!

Just did a Race Mod and full engine upgrade on the Elise 111R. That thing is quick. I maxxed downforce and adjusted top speed to about 180 mph. On the Extreme European Road race I think my best lap was in the 1:08s which meant I could complete the race in just under 6 minutes. It is still my favourite race for the fun of it when I need to "grind".

Only about 12 repeats of the race to do, to reach Lv 28 now.
