    Is that not really confusing?

Do you try and trade a perfect peach with an Infected and then bash in Gulliver's skull with a brick?!

Multiplayer launches you into unbalanced team matchmaking, more long load times, bullets that dont seem to connect all the time and a painful upgrade system. Naughty dog have been a bit naughty in pushing out a clearly unfinished product....some of you guys are very easily pleased.
although I havent clocked it yet, gotta say I agree with you. It does feel a little unfinished, can't put a nail on it. The cutscenes and script/voice acting are a cut above (in that it gets you closer to Hollywood/TV B-Movie stuff) but once you start playing the atmosphere starts melting away with the drop in visual quality (could be said for a few games to be fair) and below average Ai.

Its not right to compare this to Uncharted because they are different game genres designed to emote with you differently. I have to say I prefer the thrills and spills hijinks of UC and not the dreary tense knife edge antics of TLOU but thats just me. UC sucks in me in more because of the action and pace. TLOU is slower and therefore gives you more time to think and probably time to consider it flaws easier. I think I made a mistake starting on hard as I'm crap at games and all the low ammo and crappy upgrade system is putting me off.

        What a game. Absolutely sublime.

Starting portion of the game was a bit of drag, then the game up's the intensity level and is extremely thoughtful in it's level design and combat design. This game isn't perfect and I've definitely seen my fair share of inconsistent enemy AI, but there's variety in the enemy patterns and weaknesses which provides much needed diversity.

This game feels like a modern take on survival horror. Be nice if it had a few more puzzles in the Silent Hill or Resident Evil vein, but it's nice to see a developer interested in making something a bit different these days. Oh and it looks incredible - PS4 HD re-release at 60fps please!!

To echo bash, you can't compare this to Uncharted it's completely different, the only similarity is that Drake and Joel both hold guns - that's about it... I really like them both though, but my love for survival horror probably nudges this ahead.

Haven't voted yet, but so far this is easily a 10/10.

I like the AI. There are some fairly simple/mechanical routines and behaviours, that's true, but when you have different enemy types mixed together it gets really interesting while remaining predictable enough to be actually playable. Also, enemies are not totally locked into set patterns. If you disrupt them then leg it and successfully hide, they follow new patterns based on where they think you are. Besides, they're fungal infested monsters, how smart should they be?

The MP is truly excellent imho. Bit of a fiddle to begin with when you're trying to juggle crafting into the mix, but when it clicks it's awesome. Damn sneaky but utterly brutal when it all kicks off. Game types seen naturally to force people into good supporting team play even without the use of comms. I can see me playing the hell out of this.

My quick go on the mp was quite frustrating...the other team had mics and worked together whereas mine ran around like headless chickens in silence!

Seemed quite fun...sneaking around crafting nail bombs and stabbing people in the back. Be good to get a proper team together.

              Got a headset?

              Add me: teddymeowUK.

I don't understand how you can play this in MP without communication.

Started playing this today but I've stopped so I can play when it's darker and soak the atmosphere in more. Absolutely stunning looking game and what I've played so far has been fantastic, and boy was that a powerful start. I think I want to have naughty dogs children.

Yup, a BC Jap 60GB unit, arrived today. Three reasons:

                      1 - This game
2 - It let me still get my Metal Slug fix and allowed me to sell my AES and last few carts
3 - EDF being skanked back to next year on 360, Jap import out soon

I was going to ask when you are getting it Colin. It is just utterly sublime so far. Ten hours in now and the stunning cinematics are backed up with extremely rewarding gameplay.

Nephew brought it down for me last night mate as he'd already clocked it and told me it was amazing. Was desperate to play it, but not so desperate to pay for it you see!

Getting a bit duller up here now, time to shut the blinds, switch it back on and soak the atmosphere of the game in properly!

I'm still thinking about the ending.

I want to start New Game + but don't want to rush into it while the game is still so fresh in my mind.

Is NG+ harder difficulty, or same difficulty with more 'perks'. Was some confusion about this, I remember...

Same difficulty as youve already done.
