So if we're not going to get a pre-Xmas launch, does anyone think that's a risky move with the PS3 on the horizon for the start of the year, albeit in limited numbers? I know its not going with next-gen graphics, but surely a cheap Wii would be a huge temptation for customers at Christmas time, even when compared to a 360?

Right, if Europe is to be shafted this time, I'll deffo go for US again for Nintendo, and just incase they do the same as with GC on the lack of 480p games.
So where shall we pre-order from? I've never pre-ordered a proper console from US before, Only bought second hand etc and imported a PSP on release from VG+. So would that be best bet again?

http://www.movietyme.com/ ( think they might be software only )
Are some to try. I think I've pretty much decided to go with US Nintendo Wii, though it all depends on the region locking of the machine.

after thinking about it all morning instead of working, i've decided to stick with my initial plan of getting a japanese one.
the gap isnt that big, so i dont mind waiting a little. it might be easier to get hold of too if most people go for an american one, and i'm sure there will be loads of japanese only games...although i'm still hoping its region free of course.

Region locking not massively important to me, housemate was in the States when the GC launched and bought me on back and i have bought US-NTSC software for 5 years and had no problem.
The only thing i'm slightly worried about is the online side of things - will i be able to go online here with a US Wii ?
