Yeah, the SD loader does only work on debug units at the moment and will only load games from an SD card.

Hopefully emulation will be available via this method but I'm also hoping that full PS3 games don't become accessible. I don't think that you can do anything with it apart from play bootlegged demos so I suppose at the moment it's covered by the same rules on here as hacking a 360?

Yup, I'd love to be able to play PAL PSONE/PS2 games on my US console too. Wouldn't mind some emulators in 1080p goodness either.

Yes me as well as long I don't lose any benefits or online gaming. Region coding is only downfall on PS3.

Can't say there's any games I play online with ps3 to be honest. That's what i've got my 360 for.

Looking forward to the Trophy system. Hope we get more devs patching existing titles to give them a nice reason to replay them. Seems Insomniac are sorting Resistance 1 out. Would like GT5P to get some.

A new PLAYSTATION 3 firmware update (v2.36) will be launching soon, improving system stability when playing select PlayStation format software titles. We?re also happy to officially report that the 2.40 system software update for PS3 will include ?XMB? access in-game. The update will also include ?trophies,? an exciting new feature that we?ll be providing more details on soon, as well as some other new enhancements.
