Anyone know if the visuals have been improved over Prologue?

Hard to tell from vids and I can't trust screenshots.

Things like jaggy shadows, slight tearing, framerate, textures, trees, etc.

Textures and frame rates drop a little in arcade mode with 12 cars on the the track esp in corners etc.

Please do, if I can get a Japanese copy it'll save me a lot of trouble. Otherwise I have to wait for somebody here to get bored of their copy and sell it in the trading thread (although to be honest, given the way things usually work, I'm expecting people who hate Gran Turismo to buy it and sell it immediately complaining that it's nothing new)

Just fires up a copy at work and it looks gorgeous. Truly stunning. The rain effects are amazing!!

I don't think I'll be buying it now though. This happens everytime a GT comes out. I get caught up in the pretty and forget I'm no good at realistic racing games!

Regarding the copy protected save file; does that mean you can still move the file, just not make copies?

It means you can only transfer it to another PS3 using the data transferring app.

No USB support for even moving the file then? That's a bit annoying then, as if my PS3 goes tits up then I've lost my save.

I guess i'll just have to look forward to replaying the whole game again if that happens.

No 5.1 but I mean the actual engine note. In the videos there, the JGTC GTR should have violent turbo suction mixed with a mad 6 cyl snarl. The Subaru sounds almost silent but then it is the road version.
Can anyone confirm that cars like the WRC Impreza actually sound like a flat 4 should? So far every video I have seen has disappointed me in that department.

Still the game looks amazing, not got it obviously as I am totally skint but will be looking forward to playing it.

Oh man, I'm with you on this one. Sonics are all important nowadays I find. Perhaps there are options to raise the engine sound levels at least.
